Jared Goff became only the 2nd qb to throw a touchdown in a playoff game at ford field. First being Big Ben in the Super Bowl.
i am originally from metro Detroit. Very happy for the lions fans & ford field will be very loud next Sunday.
as well as we are playing, the lions are hot too.
two very capable backs in Montgomery & Gibbs will be tough to stop. Their o line is very good as well.
weapons galore between st brown laporta Williams & Reynolds
solid young defense between Hutchinson branch Campbell
big dan Campbell fan. He’s a coach anyone would love to play for.
just like the Philly game we need to protect the ball.
get going early. That was big for us last night. Establish the run. Stop theirs.
easier said than done.
Bucs 27
lions 24
Tough game for the Bucs but this Bucs team tends to focus a lot more on the road.
Lions favored by 6, 6.5 currently
i think we have a shot but again depends what Bucs team shows up. If we get the Bucs from last night, i think we pull off the upset.
in any event, kicking the eagles asses in the playoffs, +1 thank you Bowles. Good season!
we are playing with house money.
Detroit is a beatable team, let's see if we can keep it going
Go Bucs! Go Packers!
Agreed with packers that’d be amazing if we hosted the nfc championship lol could you imagine?!

lol yeah wishful thinking
i think Baltimore and 49ers take care of business and also the Bills over the Chiefs.
if that happens 3 favored teams and 3 home teams win; could we be the exception.
one exception in wild card weekend for home teams. 3-3 in favored/unfavored
i think of the 4 games
Chiefs have best chance to upset, followed by us!
we just played two awful teams, we should better get ready for a good one, mimimize stupid drops and other mistakes and try to use our chance if we get one.
Hmm debating on taking Bucs +6.5
Really going need Mayfield/Canales to be dialed in again. If its one thing about Todd Bowles he's going to have his defense ready in the offs.
It's going to be tough to stop St. Brown and Gibbs, but if one guy destroys the Bucs it's going to be LaPorta. The Bucs have a chance, but they'll have to play out of their minds particularly defending against the pass. Figure out how to defend LaPorta.
The Bucs have one less day to prepare/heal and also have a not-so-short trip to Detroit. The time factor here is a pretty big advantage for the Lions.
This is a winnable game.
We saw that from earlier in the year.
On the season, Lions are ranked 27th in passing yards surrendered and 27th in passing TD's given up.
Canales exposed their secondary for multiple explosives (3-5 for TD's...unfortunately, Baker missed on all of them).
Need a tight game on offense from an execution standpoint. Loved seeing the variety of mesh concepts last night, along with a more concentrated effort to run true PA.
Defensively, Goff has been average against the blitz this season (even with a good O-Line). Need to get him off his mark and rattle him.
Amon is going to get his. But, need to limit LaPorta and keep their running game in check.
Look forward to watching the Lions/Rams film.

Goff is pretty damn good when his first read is open, and Ben Johnson usually makes sure it is. But if you can make him go to his second or third read, you have a shot. He doesn't process very well/quickly.
Look forward to watching the Lions/Rams film.
When you do, either confirm or deny Goff processing. I didn't get to watch their whole game, but from what I saw in the first half, Goff rarely had to come off of his first look.

From what I've seen so far, he looks sharp.
First reads are open at a good rate, but when they're not, he's off of them pretty quick.
Line has done a good job in protection, but you'd expect that from a combo like Sewel and Decker.
During the Rams game, one of the announcers stated Goff can be forced into errors with pressure. If the Bucs can corral the Lions' running game (big IF), limit LaPorta's touches, and blitz the heck out of Goff, it will give our defense a chance. Baker needs to play like last night and our receivers need to catch. If all that falls into place, and it can, we have a good chance to pull off the upset.
if you create enough pressure any qb will get into troubles, so not a science fiction 😀 just remember mahomes in the superbowl
