The 89th annual East-West Shrine game practices, open to the public, kickoff tomorrow afternoon in St. Petersburg. PewterReport.com will be there each day and offers this preview of some of the players we will be paying close attention to. https://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=item&id=9572:&Itemid=15
really like Western Kentucky’s MLB Andrew Jackson (5th round pick)... but like you say, he need to show some ability to drop into coverage against the pass!keep an eye on OC's Tyler Larsen and Gabe Ikard...
RB Ladarius Perkins, WR Quincy Enunwa, OL Dakota Dozier, DT Zach Kerr, DE ?Ethan Westbrooks, LB Prince Shembo, and CB ?Marcus Williams are the guys I like from this game. All are guys that we'd be grabbing late in the draft or as UDFA. Some solid prospects though. I'm really excited for the Senior Bowl this year. There is a ton of great prospects in that game this year!
Chandler Jones, WR, San Jose State?Justin Britt, OT, Missouri?Kaneakua Friel, DT, BYU?Chidera Uzo-Diribe, DE, Colorado?Xavius Boyd, OLB, Western KentuckyMarqueston Huff, CB, Wyoming?Rashaad Reynolds, CB, Oregon StateBene Benwikere, CB, San Jose State?Marcus Williams, CB, North Dakota StateThose are the guys I will be paying close attention to. I saw Marcus Williams against K-State and he looked good in that game.
Certainly Garoppolo...Who's the best returner out of this bunch and what position does he play?

He isn't amazing, but he looks pretty solid in his technique and athleticism. He has a good build (5'11" 198lbs) He looks back and plays ball, which is unfortunately rare among college CBs. He is a solid kick returner. Also, he is a big time leader. Definitely the type of guy you want in your locker room. Could be a great late round pick or even an UDFA. Considering we have zilch behind Revis and Banks....I'm looking hard at every CB prospect from the top 10 guys to UDFA that most people have never heard of. We really need to add 3 or 4 CBs to our roster this offseason.

I'm jacked up for the Senior Bowl as well! I'll do my best to get you guys all of the inside scoop from Mobile next week.
Thanks! I know some us eat up every little tidbit you guys can give us. We appreciate it!If I had to pick one guy from this Shrine Game that I think might be a perfect fit for the Bucs, it's DT Zach Kerr. He's a 6'2" 310 nose tackle. He plays much bigger than he is. I woulda swore he was a big ol 340 pounder before I checked his listed height and weight. He is also very sudden and very violent. He sheds blocks and stays focused on the ball very well. He could be a great pick late in the draft to provide depth and rotation. Hope you get a chance to check him out up close.

Bump on the returner question...
why isn't David Foles playing in this game? hes no better a prospect than Garappolo.
this is Jordan Lynch and he's in college? looks like a 40 year old.
Was just reading Garoppolo measured in at 6'2" but had really small hands. Just barely 9 inches. Doesn't mean he can't be good, but hands that small is a very bad thing for a QB prospect. Nine inches is considered the absolute minimum that is acceptable. Most good NFL QBs have hands that measure around 10 inches. That extra inch really effects how a guy can grip the ball, throw on the run, play in the rain, and really spin it when the situation calls for a laser. There are exceptions of course. Romo and Kaepernick have small hands. They are a rarity though. I think this hurts Garopplo's stock. Interesting side note, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, and Johnny Manziel are all under 6ft, which is unusual for successful QBs....but all three have ridiculously large hands. All are right around 10.5 inches.

I'd like for the Bucs to draft Lynch. I think he could be a very productive player out of the backfield.
Just saw a tweet about an hour ago and I can't find it now but Jimmy Garoppolo confirmed that Dennis Hickey interviewed him last night, have a a feeling were going to be targeting a QB in rounds 2 on.

Garoppolo is a good prospect but I don't think he sneaks into the first round like many believe. I can see the Bucs pulling the trigger at the top of the 2nd round if they really like him.
