Long time reader, first time poster.
First off, I really like our teams prospects and think we had a good draft. We filled a couple areas of need. I liked a couple guys more than what we got but overall a solid B+ at worse.
However, people talk about the oline struggles but I feel like our Dline is lacking big time once you get past the starters. Comparatively, Haeg is a better back up on that line than anyone who can sub in off the edge/front 7 for us.
Nassib was valuable for some quality snaps and we haven't replaced him. I like the 6th round pick in Khalil Davis. Solid upside and depth. But I'm talking mostly about edge threats. We're one JPP or Barrett injury from disaster. I'm really surprised we didn't take a flyer on a pass rusher in this draft.
Do we have any options? Are we looking at any options? I liked Weaver in the draft and obviously Baun but we didn't snap them up.
Gronk will be very good but on face value it has seriously hamstrung our cap taking on that cap hit for an area that wasn't our biggest need. I'm not sure we can even go get a solid veteran depth guy now. Are OJ/Brate still options to go for an edge guy? Thoughts?
