It's a need if you think longer and bigger.
I give the pick a B+. Draft good players and don't reach based on need
Going to be very interested to see what the Pewter crew has to say about this pick. It feels like we went off the reservation and reached a bit with this pick, unless there's something up with Evans or Godwin that the Bucs brass isn't telling us.

Except, this was a reach too. Good player, but not a top 20 prospect.
This right here.
Licht with a stealthy solid selection, because the Seahawks could not trade down to draft Zabel. So I think Licht encountered a similar problem. WR's slipping as the trench players came off the board and Licht pulled the trigger to go BAP.
I think it was an opportunity pick. Some of the picks ahead of the Bucs were different than expected which means somebody is sliding. Egbuka was expected to go higher than this. The Bucs saw a player they like unexpectedly slide down to them and they jumped on it.
He was 4th in PR's best bet WR article
There’s an argument to be made that Egbuka is the most polished wide receiver coming out of the draft. He’s been doing it for quite a while now as a three-year starter for Ohio State and he just became a national champion. He makes life so much easier for quarterbacks with his ability to get open and locate the ball with brief but important nuances to find a window of opportunity.

The surprise was Golden and Egbuka sliding. Everyone thought it would be Tet sliding.

A lot of scouts compared him to Godwin so I can see why the Bucs organization would like him. But passing on Golden will be very interesting to say the least.
