Campbell isn't that good
Love the Benjamin Morrison pick.
Easily Pearce or Campbell
You mean the guy who’s rehabbing a shoulder injury and who has a possible degenerative knee issue?
I posted about a week ago that this guy was off many boards because his physicals brought up unseen red flags.
Hence, his agent pushing that vid.

yeah the guy that fell into the lap into possibly one of the best run franchises and a position of need. Guess only time will tell
No I was talking about Golden but I guess his number is even worse than what I posted.
The Eagles have the depth to afford to give him time to heal even if the first year is basically a wash. They have him for five years. They won the Superbowl so that gives them some leeway to have patience with a draft pick. The Bucs and the rest of the teams in the NFL don't have the luxury to do that.Easily Pearce or Campbell

I've been preaching wr need
Barber suggest theres more to the story than just BPA
"“The tea leaves in this pick [of receiver Emeka Ebuka in Round 1] tell you a couple of things,” Barber said. “No. 1, Mike Evans, No. 2, Chris Godwin, No. 3 [Jalen] McMillan; those three players are the top three wide receivers in Tampa right now. They believe something is up with one of them. So read the tea leaves in there.”
Our depth at wr last year took a hit when both Mike and Godwin were hurt. I think they were still solid but I think we want that position to be at its best because it's so important for our success. We have a high powered offense partly because we have such good talent there. If we want to make sure the offense doesn't skip a beat if someone goes down. Have someone else there just as capable.
I think if we didn't have those injuries offense is so much better down the line in the season with the continuity and consistency they have. If they can stay healthy even better because then they make sure their fresh and can create a ton of mismatches as a result of that. Wearing defenses down with that and bucky. Just go defense heavy the rest of the way.
i mean, take that example at any position that your top 2 go down and tell me how it wont hurt the team significantly. Top 2 QBs? Top 2 RBs? Maybe we survive with Tucker. Top two OTs?
Top 2 CBs?
see my point. If anything, the Bucs had some talent at least at WR with McMillian. But not many teams will survive their top 2 WRs going down and being successful - i.e. when the Eagles played us without AJ Brown and D Smith last season.

Couldn't it be (with credit to JBF) that:
1. Evans wants to retire next year
2. Godwins recovery is going slower than expected
3. they dont have faith in McMillan (eg talented, but not professional)
#3 was already suggested last season, its just that he then scored a few TDs
#4 is just BPA pick

You can’t win if both of your star WR’s go down in the same game (because they both wanted to be on the field), and are both either missing, or hampered in, significant portions of seasons due to injuries. The best time to begin planning for their absence is taking elite talent as depth (now) with the plan to have them step into those roles. What better time to do that than when both Mike & Chris are still on the field making plays, on the sideline communicating what they see and how to attack, and in the locker room?
Looks like a succession plan if I ever saw one. I’m ALL for it. Doesn’t mean it works flawlessly, just means you think your culture & organization can devote resources to prepare for the season and the future… and you have talent onboard if something goes wrong during next season - or to react if the plan is working out.
The secondary is already better - but will continue to be a focus. We’re not at a deficit starting this season. Same can be said for coverage ILB (maybe Licht isnt finished)? But we have a plan and some depth at ILB.

agreed
If the Bucs want to content for a SB you need more than three elite options to go to throw the air. Irving and White are underrated in the passing game but Egbuka takes it to the next level.
The drafting of Egbuka is looking to the future but it also has Grizzard's fingerprints all over it. Grizzard is the architect for one of the best third down passing units i the NFL last season. Plus, Bowles as a HC has finally understood no risk it not biscuit. You want your defense to feast on sack and turnovers? You need an offense to build huge leads and make teams one dimensional.

Yup, well put
