I realize Steve is a more day to day douchey personality but, Emeka from a body type and approach to the position reminds me very much of Steve Smith jr. Here’s hoping for a similar career.
Steve Smith Jr. is one of my all-time respected/hated enemies.
With Godwin most likely not seeing any significant action until the last half of the year, Evans and Egbuka are going to make for a nice 1-2 punch.
Legit chance he leads the team in targets, receptions, and yards this season.

Egbuka is 6' 1" 205 lbs., Smith Sr played at 5' 9" 195 lbs. Interesting comparison.
Also, it's Emeka, in short order he has earned the correct spelling of his name.
Fucking hilarious

Agreed. Odd comparison, for sure.
Call me crazy but when I was watching him in college he reminded me of Godwin.
Of course many players look totally different once they get to the NFL. For example, so far in his limited reps, Egbuka looks faster in the NFL than I expected.

His speed and approach to the football are what look like Steve Smith.
I’m liking what I’ve seen from Emeka (ie, football IQ, solid route running, awareness, late hands, sneaky speed, and crafty) and while I want to see more of him, I’m fine not seeing anything else until the regular season.
I am going to call him Hines Ward 2.0 because him and Evans are going to open up some running lanes for Irving, White and Tucker.
Physical at the point of attack, sneaky fast downfield on posts, and can be used to attack the flats and boundary.
Need to see him play more in the regular season to throw a good comparison out there. Did not realize Godwin ran a 4.42 at the NFL combine when comparing him to Emeka.

We get Steve Smith Sr. level performances out of Egbuka, this offense will be #1 in short order.
Not that it's likely. SSS was a 1/1. But we get idk, 80% of SSS, that'd probably still be enough to propel the offense into the top-5.
Smith was 1/1. Amazing player. But, if Egbuka is on instead of Godwin his production could be similar, if he plays up to the hype.
fingers crossed.
Agreed, and the hype has annoyed me, I know what he did in college, the NFL is playing better talent than Oregon & Texas and Notre Dame, almost every Sunday - but I’ve become more intrigued as guys like Evans and Baker are saying it interviews. Veteran leaders don’t gas players up.Smith was 1/1. Amazing player. But, if Egbuka is on instead of Godwin his production could be similar, if he plays up to the hype.

Having said that, still need to see him do this in regular season games. Looks like the real deal in practice and preseason, so far.
The kid is going to be a stud.
Been saying it for months.
And, fortunately for us, we’ll get the results right out of the gate.
