Yeah, the run game is absolutely key to this game. We’ve been able to run against some of the better teams in the NFL in the last 3 games. However, most of that success was built off of running behind Tristan - as good as he is - and if he truly plays in this game - he came back so fast from a severe sprain, that knee has to slow him somewhat.no one else to throw too so i imagine Mike will be targeted a lot
or barely because of double coverage, safety over the top all day
Run the ball well and that changes
good point. Maybe that is the difference. No Godwin but we’ve got play action!
We still need to take some pressure off Mike Evans by using Otton, but also if we could get another receiver we could open this up more - bet Shep would love to have an opportunity in this game against his old team.
It would be nice if we could start to get JMac more involved in this offense for down the stretch, too.
High hopes!
All we need is Jamel Dean & Mike Edwards contribute well enough to be average (see Zyon didn’t practice again today, so the saga continues…).
Seems impossible BUT he needs to average 95 yards/game the rest of the year.
Not likely but would be awesome to see him hit it
Would be awesome.
But, alas, probably not happening.
In Canton regardless.

beginning to think the problem with JMAC is JMAC
still plenty of time

I care about it more than the playoffs quite frankly... And as much as I'd love to win the division I'd sure love to have that 2nd place position when they make the schedule. My buddy is an eagles fan and it pains me how easy their schedule has been.

One of the beautiful things about sports. Watching history with an incredibly deserving guy. Would love to see him keep the streak alive.
could a team ask for a better star player and representative? And I might not ask that question early on but wow what an incredible mix of on and off the field performance he has become. Class all the way around.
not sure about his record this season but one of many beautiful things about being a fan is to watch him play all these years. He is the Sapp or Brooks or Barber or Lynch of this era.
(as I typed that list I almost hit return after each name lol but then said hold on there’s another. Great to be a Buc fan)
For some reason I don't care a whole lot about the thousand yards streak at this point .Seems impossible BUT he needs to average 95 yards/game the rest of the year.

Well if he gets 1k we are probably making the playoffs...
But man, I'm still upset he went back in that Ravens game. Ruined his streak

Hell, it ruined our season.
We lose our top-2 weapons because of coaching malpractice.
And Bowles’ biggest supporter is in another thread “lol”ing about it.
Smh…
Think he ends up around 925 unfortunately.
Hope he gets 1k obviously!

injuries on the defense are “excuses”

I didn't think you could dick ride someone more than you did Byron.
But, here you are, proving us all wrong.
well 4 games to go and he needs 410 yards or 102.5 yards per game.
How can he do it?
Chargers - 8th best in passing yards allowed per game. Let's say he gets 70 yards
Cowboys - 22nd best in passing yards allowed per game. He has monster game - say 150 yards, channeling his inner Jamar Chase
Carolina - 12th best in passing yards allowed per game. Let's say he goes for 100 yards, slightly close to his first performance against them with 118 yards
Saints - the 5th worst in passing yards allowed per game. He would need 90 yards to get to 1000. He only had 34 in the last match-up. But no more Godwin or Lattimore in this round.
He needs one monster game to do it.
would be great
yesterday was the game Mike needed
needs 251 yards over next 3 games which is 84 yards a game
Hopefully he can have another monster game against the Cowboy Sunday night and make it more manageable.
With the surprise ass kicking game yesterday, Bucs could find themselves in a clinching position prior to week 18; Bucs win the next 2 to be 10-6; Falcons go 2-1, and are 8-8.
really want to see Mike maintain this streak but Bowles will be conflicted especially after that Godwin injury in garbage time
Also - if Bucs are 10-6 would mean they are riding a 6 game win streak; feel like you have to play starters, plus could be the difference between 3rd and 4th seed.
Not that in 2022 they ever had anything going, but they rested starters in last week and came out like shit in playoff game
in 2023, they needed the game, barely won 9-0 but came out smoking in their first playoff game
