With today’s news of Evans being reportedly done for the year. I think it’s time to shelve anyone else who has an injury they may be playing through.
We are done for the year. The decision makers at OBP should know what they are doing with Jameis by now (I personally think he’s earned AT LEAST a one or two year contract. AT. LEAST.)
The last thing you want to have happen is throw Jameis out there with an undrafted FA OG on one side of the line and a banged up less than 100% Donovan Smith on the other.... without Mike Evans .... only to watch him suffer an extreme reinjury to his throwing hand.
I mean, he has a fractured throwing hand, the franchise LT is seriously banged up, he is missing his starting RG, and his #1 weapon on offense is out. Is the film even worth evaluating at that point.
Put Jameis (and Donovan Smith) on IR and prepare for next year.
