wonder given the crowded WR room and inept front office/management if we even want him back
boy would that be the icing on the cake for me with this regime.
Killed Brady, now kill Evans? lol. Doesn't sound that way. This is the new OC
"“Man, the fact that it’s a possibility [for Evans] to come back. Shoot, everybody would obviously love that in this building,” Robinson said. “…We’ll make sure that Mike feels like he always has here; he feels like he’s loved here and has a ton of appreciation."
M1k3 should take all the balled up frustration "3rd and 28" leaving the field during the Falcons loss and go to a contender. Why should he stay with the Bucs when there is zero chance of getting another ring with Bowles as HC and DC. 2026 will be a lost season regardless.

so then what if he does?
If you follow this team at all, Mike isn't leaving. He's either playing in Tampa or he's retiring.
Signing with another team at his age, isn't as simple as "Oh, I'll go play for New England..."
Funny how so few on here understand this.
I think he can get one more ring here, i feel it...
if that isn't the most homer take lol
i honestly dont think Mike cares about another ring. Sure he wants to win, but if he plays, it will be to pad stats in his Hall of Fame career
the hope is he does it here so he doesn't blemish his resume

this ^^ is like covering all the bases on bad.
most would say he would only come back if he thought the Bucs had a chance, so out comes the it would only be about padding stats . . not winning because . . . well, Bowles
and the FO might not even want him .. . because Light doesnt know HOFers . . or WRs . .. he just got lucky drafting him . . and Godwin
wow Badabing, 2025 just ended it for you as a fan? lmao
haha that collapse left a sour taste in my mouth. I will get more positive in due time!
just saying one would think we want Evans back but difficult to tell what ownership is thinking. Legends leave their franchises all the time so while none of us want to envision it, I don’t think it’s a forgone conclusion it’s Bucs or retirement especially considering top tier teams lacking a #1

i mean, i am not following
Jerry Rice spent majority of his career with San Francisco and left at age 39 season. Dude had nothing to prove and still played at a high level with the Raiders, until fizzling out at age 42 season with Seattle.
Emmitt Smith spent majority of his career with Dallas and left at age 34 season to play with Arizona
Randy Moss was traded in age 28 season but switched multiple teams age 30, 33, and 35 seasons
T.O. another one changing teams age 31, 33, 36, and 37 seasons
i mean, yeah it does seem that easy for him to go do that; not saying he wants to especially since he's already got a ring but if he wants to raise his kids in Texas as an example, could see that being a very easy move for him to make.

FWIW, he made a point last season of conveying his wife's role in the decision to stay here. Not saying that might not change, but the very valid family decision you raise was at least previously decided in favor of Tampa

yeah two things - (1) i am all for Evans staying and (2) i think it's likely he does!
But the notion that there's no chance he plays elsewhere when we just heard rumblings about it, yeah i wouldn't put the % at zero.
i mean, shit, Scott and team told us to relax about all the noise about Bowles being safe; they were even very arrogant about it how there's NO WAY...he's safe and look how that turned out
so yeah just a bit skeptical until Mike re-ups his contract with us
it happens all the time. Julio Jones, Diggs, Adams, Kupp. These are all players who spent the good part of their career with one team and went to other teams at the tail end of their careers. Nobody on this board said they think he's leaving. But it's not a slam dunk. If it does it won't happen out of the blue. The information would be in dribs and drabs. I don't predict it and I don't wish it. But all I'm saying is that it wouldn't be the end of the world if somebody else takes the risk of him getting injured again for a significant portion of the year.Signing with another team at his age, isn't as simple as "Oh, I'll go play for New England..."

obviously there is a chance BUT the "rumblings" come from the same guy (Tony Pauline) who suggested Baker would get $40 million. That rank speculation sent this board into a tailspin lmao. Turned out much ado about nothing.
