I believe that it is a definite maybe that there is a 50-50 chance that Evans either resigns with the Bucs or signs with another team. In other words I don't have a clue what Evans is going to do. But I am hoping for the best.
I do believe the agent who says that Evans has a strong desire to win and that's part of the motivation for him to look around. If he took a job elsewhere his family might move or not move. It's only a couple years. John Lynch moved his whole family to Denver and never looked back. I just don't think family will be the deciding factor. It was one of those conversations where people will hear what they want to hear.
We will all get to see soon enough. They've always worked it out min the past and the Evans family is pretty settled here.
Patrick Mahomes took a restructure to clear cap space. Guess why. That doesn't mean it's a done deal, but there will certainly be a good offer on the table. Where's Mike going to have a chance to win a Superbowl? That's going to be the deciding factor. It's about winning for him, even more than it is for other players. That's the biggest takeaway I had from the agent's interview. Signing with a team with a great QB who can compete for the Superbowl.

you may be right.
I think he stays and finishes his career here
Evans describes his hamstring problem as "chronic" in the Amazon show.
"Gilmore implied the Tampa weather is why Evans has recurring hamstring issues."
LMAO. He grew up in Galveston and played at College Station?
Maybe his AGE and his physical build.
Stretching is the #1 way to prevent hammy issues. ME build and his playstyle means he needs to dedicate more time to stretching.

The strength and conditioning coaches for this billion dollar company should be able to do a better job of this, one would think.

It’s the most puzzling thing about this sport. Why do some teams always have injuries (the Chargers), while many seem to avoid the injury bug.

If I were to get into the science of things it’s mainly being able to decelerate with load. Stopping on a dime can produce up to 250lbs+ of force, of course the force is dispersed. The reason Nordic hamstring curls are the main suggestion because it works on lengthening adaptations to muscle fibers and improving eccentric control to accept that deceleration throughout the muscle . Independent of Evans everyone needs adapted hamstrings to be able to take the load as a weak point in the hamstring can cause tears to different areas of the 3 muscles of the hamstrings. Stretching does help there’s a Bunch of other factors but just the researches 2 cents
I won't predict he's going elsewhere, but I will say it's going to be costly to keep him. Two years at about $20 mil per if the Bucs pay the going rate - for probably half a season of being fully healthy. And hopefully that half includes the playoffs. Evans is getting on in years for a wide reciever, and any team taking him on will be taking a big risk that he'll hold up to the rigors of a 17 game season. If the Bucs don't sign Evans the fans it will be all gloom and doom, but I'm not so sure the best thing for the Bucs in the long run is to let him walk. Wide receiver isn't the biggest need position even if Evans walks.

Well sure, but to be fair aging and body type and even prior injury all thing working against Evans, especially as he ages. Lose muscle mass, lose flexibility etc.
"“I don’t think so,” Licht said regarding needing to pitch Evans. “Mike knows, he and I have had a lot of conversations over the last year, and I think he — I don’t want to put words in his mouth — but I think he sees what we have, the talent that we have, especially on his side of the ball, what we were able to do over the last few years when healthy. And I know he loves his teammates; I know he absolutely loves his teammates, all of them. I don’t know how much of a sales pitch I’d have to give. But I think he understands; I think we see eye-to-eye and he knows what we’re capable of.”

losing arguably the worst division in league history?
getting worse the healthier we got?
Bringing back Todd Bowles?
yeah if I’m Mike I’m out. Hope he is back tho.

3rd and 28. I wonder how fresh that's still in his mind?

The Chargers like the Bucs play in a warmer climate and this is why hydration and stretching is crucial. Hydration is the other aspect that is important along with stretching.
Wrestling teams and TKD teams spend just as much time stretching as doing workouts almost a 1:1 ratio.
