Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have no reason to be happy with their team’s offense. The Bucs are currently 32nd in the NFL in yards per game and passing yards per game, and rank 28th in points per game. That leaves most fans of the team wanting offensive coordinator Mike Sullivan to lose his job. But for the second offseason in a row, Sullivan is going to be a head coaching candidate elsewhere, while the Tampa Bay offense with Pro Bowlers at multiple positions remains at the bottom of the NFL. So why is the offense struggling so badly? During Monday’s “day after the game” press conference, Greg Schiano made a pretty tame comment that speaks volumes about his role in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense. When asked about no huddle, and why the team didn’t use it more on Sunday against the 49ers, Schiano said “I didn’t want to…” In other words, Mike Sullivan may call some plays and dictate some of the in-game adjustments made by the offense, but Greg Schiano has power over Sullivan, and will call the shots when he sees fit. So the second half woes for the offense and the inexplicable changes during halftime of most games may not be the fault of Eli Manning’s old QB coach. It may instead be the fault of Mike Teel’s old head coach at Rutgers. If Sullivan does leave, don’t expect big changes in the offense in Tampa Bay. John McNulty would likely be promoted to offensive coordinator, and he’d likely keep most of the current ideals and players in place and continue to run the offense Greg Schiano likes to run. Schiano has some positive qualities mixed in with his frustrating habits, but possibly his worst quality is his stubborn nature when it comes to processes and schemes he believes to be proven. And he believes that teams that run the football, get good time of possession, and throw the ball down the field are teams that win. So any offensive coordinator he hires will simply do the very same thing

Skull and Bones: "When did Belichick fail and fail? And iirc, Carrol wasnt a huge failure as a HC. Rather just mediocre."ELITE in all caps or failure. Those are the only two options. There is nothing in between. Very similar to the situation with Anomaly's ears.
