He transformed the offense into a hyperactive juggernaut, a unit that carried the team to a division title.Yet Keyshawn Johnson isn’t ready to — as his old pal Bill Parcells would say — put him in Canton just yet.During a recent ESPN Radio interview, Johnson gave Kelly a “C” for his performance, asserting the Eagles coach fell short of expectations in 2013.Why the lukewarm assessment?“Because he started off slow. He thought that his offense was going to work to the point of no return,” Johnson said, via PhillyMag.com. “It’s been OK. It hasn’t been this eye-popping… we’re all of a sudden gonna change the way that football is played on the professional level. It hasn’t done that, and I think that was the expectation. I would say that he’s come up short of expectations.”When he made the jump from Oregon to the NFL, Kelly brought with him a reputation for being an “innovator,” something he’s since rebuked. Still, the results are hard to ignore. Philly’s offense finished second in points scored, fourth in yards, and featured the league’s leading rusher, LeSean McCoy.Winning the division put a nice bow on Kelly’s rookie campaign, but Johnson remains unimpressed.“Yeah, but you and me could have made the playoffs in that division,” he said.
