http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/article.php?article=MikeGlennonInDepth Cian Fahey at FootballGuys has written a really solid breakdown of Mike Glennon. It highlights his strengths & faults throughout the year. Some good stuff in here....whether you are a Glennon supporter or hater.
It's a good read and I enjoyed it. I'm still not sold on Glennon, but I am intrigued by his potential. He's very, very smart and that can make up for a lack of elite physical gifts.
Glennon is a four win qb who can't play a second half properly to save his life. He's brilliant alright.

Revis is a 4 win CB since coming here, does he suck? Martin is only an 11 win RB in 2 seasons, Jackson the same at WR, their talent must be sub-par too. Critiquing Glennon on his individual play/decision-making is one thing, but attaching number of wins to one individual in a team sport makes very little sense.

Why did we fire the entire coaching staff then? If Glennon cant play a second half to save his life, and it didnt have anything to do with the coaching staff, scheme, roster, or being a rookie, then i have no idea why we fired all the coaches

I'm learning that #Fire isn't what it seems. So, #FireSchiano was actually high praise?
Haha, its so funny when people are presented with legit analysis & they still won't budge from their firm stance that a player they don't like sucks. I'll be honest, I'm on the fence with Glennon...but he deserves a chance to prove himself (& he's earned that). It will also free us up to spend a pick (& prob a high one) on another position this team desperately needs. Lest you guys forget that we are already out 2 picks this year...so all of our picks in the early rounds need to hit.

SOP on the RB
Pay no attention to Stench, he's a four win fan that can't root properly to save his life. He's brilliant alright.

Yup
No one is saying Glennon is a superstar but most are saying considering what we could replace him with, he's deserving of another year. Mike's issues are as follows in my eyes...1. Can be gun shy and throw a few fade away jumpers.2. Leaves the pocket with no pressure or fails to step up in the pocket.3. Sloppy with mechanics when pressured or hurried. That's it. Those three things he needs to work on and both of those things are fixed with proper coaching and experience. Glennon has the mental ability and physical ability to be very good. He doesn't have a cannon arm but has made some throws on game day that have surprised me. He is an accurate passer when using proper mechanics and was one of the most effective deep ball throwers in the league, although it should be noted he didn't throw deep very often.

many of the anti-Glennon posts don't take that part in bold into consideration or if they do they deal with it unrealistically. It's easy to say "he sucks." It takes more thought to consider the alternatives

Also fixed with some new pieces on the OL. I cant blame Glennon for not wanting to step up in the pocket.

I agree with both of you. Improve the oline and get some recievers that Glennon trusts and those faults will go away. Some people have a lot of trouble accepting that there are 10 other starters on offense. 11 if you count the slot.
