1 - RB Deandre Swift (Georgia)
*Add a 2nd rounder via trade down into the 20's with a WR hungry team like Philly or maybe Oakland, depending on what they do at pick 12. Deandre is great in every facet - running, catching, and pass pro. His style reminds of Cadillac Williams (pre injuries). He and Jones will be electric.
2a - WR Justin Jefferson (LSU)
*If available at this pick, he would be a terrific compliment to this WR group as a slot/run-after-catch type of weapon. Exactly what the passing game needs. 4.4 speed doesn't hurt either. I would have liked to grab a pass rusher here, but there just isn't anybody available that would have the same impact Jefferson would have from day one.
2b - OT Ben Bartch (St Johns)
*I've said for a while now that this pick has Jason Licht written all over it. Division 3 offensive lineman who dominated his level of competition, then tested himself at the senior bowl and had a dominant week there as well. He may take a little bit of time to develop, but that's exactly why we signed Joe Haeg. If we need to start Joe day one, no problem, but Bartch is the long term RT.
3 - DL Raekwon Davis (Alabama)
*Next in line to replace Suh and keep this run defense strong for years to come. His value as a run stopper isn't enough for most teams to take him in the first 2 rounds, but he will fit nicely as a rotational piece this season, and lining up next to Vita Vea for years to come.
4a - G Jonah Jackson (Ohio State)
*Nasty m'fer. Exactly how I like my offensive lineman. Plays mean and physical. He needs to refine his run blocking, but his pass pro is elite, probably better than any other guard in this class. He simply doesn't get beat 1v1. I could see him going in round 3, but it's not a stretch to think he could be available at this spot.
4b - FS Geno Stone (Iowa)
*Very heady player. His instincts are elite. He would be kind of like a Keith Tandy type, only with far more upside. I could see him starting early on, much like Jordan Whitehead did.
5 - QB John Morgan (FIU)
*I think it makes sense to bring in a late round QB prospect considering the room he would learning from. There aren't too many guys I'm high on after the top 6-7 QBs are drafted in the first couple rounds. Morgan at least comes from a pro style offense, seems to be a smart kid, and has the size and arm strength to be a potential player down the road, or at least a solid backup.
6 - K Rodrigo Blankenship (Georgia)
*I will be pissed off if Matt Gay is our Kicker next season. I literally had a dream last night that he cost us a huge game with a miss. Blankenship appears to be the best kicker this season, so I would grab him with our last pick to hopefully be out long term starter, ending the kicking curse once and for all.
