I feel inclined to post today because of my rant post last week. I think we are all angry after last night, but I am trying not to let my emotions get the best of me. My question now:  Were the expectations too high? I think we as fans, the media, Lovie, and the Bucs organization all banked on a better season. “Dunkaneers” or “we are building the team to win now” or “my bold prediction is the Bucs and Steelers in the Super Bowl!” (that last one was a quote from Herm). Now some of you are going to say that “you predicted all this to be bad” and “I told you so.” My reply is simple… then why do you choice to be a fan if you know that they will never amount to something? Why? Because deep down you were hoping you would be wrong and this team would be better than you anticipated. I stand by my comment of this being a rebuilding year though. While there is time to change my opinion, here are my observations from the last two games:1)  McCown is a backup QB – always was and always will be.2)  Lovie is Lovie – doing the same thing that got him fired in Chicago. At least Schiano would take risks. Conservative play calling is what beat us yesterday (outside of injuries)3) Abnormal amount of injuries - maybe this is just me4) This offense is as bad as it was last year despite the off-season pick-ups. I would say worse, but you can’t be worse than 32nd. Hard to believe that this was the offense that was so “hush hush” throughout the pre-season.5) Tampa 2 is not working – based on getting pressure using the front four, right? Well they are not doing that at all. Johnson was not even in the game, but I felt like we got the same play out of him. McDonald showed up.I am still a fan and I will continue to support. I find it hard to believe that this team, in its current form, is a better team than last year.  Thoughts?
