It's not Jameis or the offense. We are dealing with a very young unit and it was expected there will be lots of bumps and bruises with some small glimpses of good play scattered in between. Even with lowered standards they didn't look great but it still isn't unexpected. What is really making me sick is our coaching and our defense. Lovie is a defensive coach, he's taken over playcalling duties, he's had two offseasons to get players to better suit his system, and they go out and get blasted by a 2-14 team starting a rookie QB running the same 6 plays the entire first half. This was all too familiar, our defense and playcalling making the likes of Austin Davis, Derrick Anderson, and a rookie look like hall of fame QBs. Let's just be honest here, Lovie is a bad coach. I was never sold on him coming in here and I am saddened to be proven right each and every week. GOOD COACHES adapt their schemes and playcalling to best use the talent they have on their roster. Bad coaches can't or refuse to. It doesn't take an x and o guru to understand we have bad lines on both sides of the ball....SO WHY NOT RUSH MORE THAN 4 ON DEFENSE AND WHY NOT CALL SOME SHORTER QUICKER PASSES ON OFFENSE!?!? Look I can't stand Monday Morning armchair QBs either, but this isn't even that, it just seems like common sense. I am and will always be a Bucs fan, but man it's almost like I dread Sundays now vs. getting excited for them.
