This is as close to an experiment as you can get in real life football. You manipulate one variable, while keeping the others the same (as close as possible in this situation) and evaluate results. Winston out, Fitz in. Despite throwing for a ton of yards, there is something about Winston...and its more than just his turnovers, he cant win games on this level. After inserting Fitz, it was instantly a different...everything. Fitz has got to be the guy moving forward this season, we can pinpoint some flaws in Winston's game, but I'm afraid there are worse ones are subtle and aren't obvious; maybe its a mentality thing, maybe its how long he holds the ball, I think its multifactoral, but in the end Winston seems like a guy that will always throw for a ton of yards but lose a game. The yardage totals are flashy enough that it gives like a false hope/fools gold type effect on those in charge, especially if there careers are tied to him, and a sort of defensive argument to save their skin.
You simply cant give him more receiving weapons,so the argument about building around him...I hope, we can put to bed.
/rant/vent break now.
