You know, that Freeman kid is only like 25.

LOLBut seriously unless we draft BW/Bortles/Manziel, as unsexy as glennon is we may as well roll with him and see what hes got with a real coaching staff. I mean cmon, that qb FA list is just god awful

really like Shaun Hill, he is one of the the best backup QB in the league... i think this guy is our best shot with Glennon for 2014!anyway i don't see any long term solution at QB in free agency this year...Matt Flynn is another guy we should take look if Lovie think he can fit Tedford's scheme...add to the list Mark Sanchez, Matt Schaub & Kevin Kolb who should be cap casualties

Flynn and any other popcorn arm qbs are out of the question, as tedford's O requires a strong arm. Plus the butt fumbler and pik six matt? surely u jest

Are you guys seriously wanting to go back to the Jon Gruden QB by bandaid approach.  If Smith doesn't think Glennon has a ceiling of being a top 16 QB in this league, and yes it takes one to contend, then he needs to move up for one that he thinks can be.  We've wasted the last 5 years.  No point in wasting another.

Trade Glennon straight up for Tyrod Taylor and then draft Manziel or Bortles if one falls to us. If neither falls to us, roll with Taylor. If he fails as a starter.....then we go hard after Mariota or Winston next year.

Draft Watkins and roll with Glennon for one more season with the new coaching staff.

Are you being serious right now?Wow. Matt Cassell is a turd. I want to see one more poster come out an defend this suckhole of a QB. Matt Cassell?  Seriously?Glennon has an upside. Cassell is a backside.

Taylor could be good when he finally gets his shot, however I'm hesitant to pony up even a 4th rounder this year in what looks like a draft class deep with talent, especially amongst the underclassmen. And since we are already down a 3rd rounder, we really have to treat our remaining picks like juicy gold nuggets. Also despite the fact that flacco and glennon seem to be cut from the same cloth in terms of style and attributes, i don't see ozzie being interested in him. I see him sticking to his guns with taylor as his curveball/fallback on offense. Unless someone goes all crazy and offers a 2nd rounder, in which case ozzie would gladly take that to the bank

You might be right because they have been using him more as special plays made just for him....but it doesn't hurt to try. Taylor is in the last year of his rookie contract and they will likely lose him and gain nothing if they hold onto him. They are already so tight with the cap that they are talking about letting go of T-Sizzle this offseason, so there is a good chance they are willing to move Taylor. If they took the straight up swap for Glennon, they would have their dirt cheap back up QB locked up until 2017...which has to be tempting to a team in such a tough cap situation. And like you mentioned, Glennon is much more like Flacco than Tyrod is. It would make sense for them.As far as them wanting a 2nd round pick....I don't see it. Everyone seems to think all these back ups like Taylor, Cousins, and Mallett are worth 2nd round picks....but none of them have done anything to earn that type of value. Maybe these guys are worth 3rds just because they are QBs and there is always value in a young unknown QB with potential...but I don't see any of them fetching a 2nd rounder. For me, Tyrod showed some special abilities in college. He has the mobility and awareness to scramble and make something out of nothing. He showed excellent accuracy at times and always threw well on the run. He was undersized and a little raw when he was drafted...but he has had 3 years of NFL coaching from an excellent club. It is feasible that he would now thrive as a starter. It's a long shot, but I will keep my fingers crossed.

Duemig actually threw out the idea of bringing back his boy Freeman...and he was SERIOUS. smh

Even if Lovie was dumb enough to do that , which he's not , I'm sure the Glazers would veto paying that turd again.

As much as you bash Glennon you seem to be admitting that he has decent trade value . Taylor is no slouch.

If we bring back Josh... That'd be hilarious. This board would explode.

AJ McCarron or Aaron Murray in the 2nd round and add either Matt Flynn or Chad Henne as a fall back if Glennon doesn't progress in the off season.
