Former Buc Brandon Magee would give up baseball for another NFL shot FOX SportsJUL 02, 2015 PITTSBURGH, PA - SEPTEMBER 28: Linebacker Brandon Magee #53 of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers looks on from the field before a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field on September 28, 2014 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Buccaneers defeated the Steelers 27-24. (Photo by George Gojkovich/Getty Images) The Tampa Bay Buccaneers released linebacker Brand Magee back in March, which led to him immediately heading to Red Sox training camp. Magee never got an offer to get back into the NFL (not yet at least), so he's continued to play baseball with Boston's Class A affiliate, the Lowell Spinners. But, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Magee would give up baseball in a heartbeat if an NFL team came calling. When Magee joined PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio, he had no issue talking about where his heart was at.While it's obviously pretty unlikely that the Bucs would offer Magee another shot, it's definitely not out of the question that an NFL team could give him another look. Only time will tell, though, and here's to hoping that Magee gets another chance to live out his dream in the NFL.
