just the torn Achilles - at 36.Any update on the Cousins ACL history you’ve spoken at length about?
Starting to think this was a fabrication.
Which would be the 3rd or 4th this week from this guy.
Guess I’ll start referring to this poster as, “White Lyin’”
Nothing to worry about. Should be steal!
So, now Cousins has gone from 37-years old to 36?
Nice!
(Hint…he’s neither)
And, yes, I’ve already stated I’d be concerned with a player coming off an Achilles tear.
That being said, I’m not overly concerned about the other multiple injuries you made up out thin air, White Lyin’.
Dominik says Daniel Jones $ for Mayfield
I could go for this.
Ah, never mind. I just looked it up and saw the huge signing bonus. I initially saw 4 years $25.6 mil per year with $25.6 mil guaranteed. That's what I'm hoping the Bucs can do with Baker.

Yeah.
Jones was $81M guaranteed at signing ($36M signing bonus plus salary from first 2 years).
They have an out next year with $33M in dead cap over the ‘25 and ‘26 seasons.

I don’t think there is anyway he just gets $25 per year with one year guaranteed.
for me it’s more about limiting the number of years and/or having outs. Doesn’t really matter how much they pay him this year as long as we get everyone back.
funny. So, your original point was that you claimed Cousins is a better option at FA/QB than Baker Mayfield.just the torn Achilles - at 36.Any update on the Cousins ACL history you’ve spoken at length about?

Shifting blame doesn’t help obfuscate the fact that he isn’t - you are wrong - and you now admit/concede he isn’t.
Cool.
Probably some millions more to adjust for inflation..but I I’ve also heard this argument. Especially since there are others who are showing interest.Dominik says Daniel Jones $ for Mayfield

What’s more, because of the increase to the NFL cap for 2024, the new tag for Baker would be closer to $39m. Which makes the case for a deal like this.
Also increases Mike Evans’ cap value/tag.
How they structure these deals will be interesting. It is funny how the anti-Baker group is silent about it. As I have said before, you don’t have to like it, but his valuation is determined by what they think he is worth. Baker’s value was already determined, that other teams are interested only solidifies that valuation.

Cool.
I claimed he was the best option if healthy.
YOU LITERALLY MADE UP TWO INJURIES that never happened.
Proving you’re nothing more than a clown.
White Lyin’…
Need to be someone that is a quality player. And make the FT turn into long term deals.
we all know what you said.funny. So, your original point was that you claimed Cousins is a better option at FA/QB than Baker Mayfield.

we also all know my first post was about an ACL - it was an Achilles…because it was a serious injury, but you said he was better than Baker.
You were wrong.
Its ok, you’ve conceded, we’re good.
Kind of a cool new thing, you call me a Lyin’ Tiger, I prove you wrong…cozy.
Interesting, so it appears a few of us see the same things as the folks over at Bleacher Report? That’s odd, have they not been paying attention to the analysis of the anti-Baker folks on the Red Board?
It almost sounds like what some of us have been asserting - now even even national sports media think Mayfield would be the preferred FA QB?
Let's dive into this, shall we?

I mean, I can keep going, but I think the point has been made.
Contrary to what @white-tiger posted, the national sports media DOES NOT think that Mayfield is the "preferred FA QB".
Actually, they don't think he's the first, second (and in numerous cases...third) most important FA on this team.
Quite the zinger...
I probably wouldn't let evidence like this influence my inferior opinion either.
we also all know my first post was about an ACL - it was an Achilles…because it was a serious injury,
I get it.
ACL's and Achilles get mixed up all the time.
That said, you mentioned it was his SECOND ACL...err...Achilles injury. So when was the first one (ACL or Achilles)?
but you said he was better than Baker.
You were wrong.
He is. He always has been. And, if he's healthy, he'll continue to be.
It almost sounds like what some of us have been asserting - now even even national sports media think Mayfield would be the preferred FA QB?
Guess me, PFF, CBS Sports, PFN, ESPN, Fox Sports, USA Today (you know...the ACTUAL national media) are wrong.
You'll always have Heavy.com, White Lyin'...
We’ll see.

likely two different arguments
1. Cousins - for a team that thinks they are just a QB away and looking for a quick fix - teams like Minnesota, Denver, Pittsburgh - yes, Cousins will be more sought after than Mayfield.
2 - Mayfield - for a team that is looking for an answer more than just in 2024 but for the next several years - teams like Tampa Bay, Atlanta, New England, Washington, etc.
now, Cousins puts up some good numbers but has proven to be barely a .500 QB and not too successful in the playoffs. That being said, he has been more consistent in his body of work then has Mayfield so a team looking to make a SuperBowl run would take their chances with Cousins. With Mayfield, the Bucs are hoping he can improve off of last year's results and the like the potential. Given most of the other teams that may be interested in Mayfield will have top picks, we really shouldn't overpay. Saw someone say Daniel Jones type money which would be borderline retarded behavior. $25 to $33M or his ass could go sign with another team where he keeps the seat warm for a 1st round rookie - so it's not a hard sell by the front office unless they fell googlie eyes over him given his playoff success.
