As some of you former insiders know, I posted a story on the funny encounter I had with the Vikings' fan this summer. For you who haven't read that post, I'll recap:Last summer, I went to the County Courthouse to conduct some business. I am usually there at least once per week. This particular day, I was wearing my Bucs coaches golf shirt. As I went through the metal detector, I heard the guards mock me for being a Bucs fan, saying that "... he must like to suffer..." blah, blah, blah. After, I passed through the metal detector, I said the following prayer "Oh Father, who art thou in Heaven, please let these two be Viking fans!" They heard me and said, proudly, "yes we are!" (Here in Iowa, most people are either fans of the Packers, Bears, or Vikings.) So I asked them "how many Super Bowls have you won?" This is the benefit of rooting for a team that has won at least one Super Bowl.So every time I see them, I would bring a picture of an empty trophy case with "Vikings" across the top. Or, I would also remind them that they weren't born the last time they were at a Super Bowl. Stuff like that. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Now, the Bucs host the Vikings this weekend, so they got to win this one! Go Bucs!
