I think he looks great at times and awful at times, but the ratio leans heavily towards awful. However, the play calling and coaching in general is so incredibly awful that it makes it really hard to know he sucks for sure. I'm not a fan of him being our starter moving forward, but I can't say with 100% confidence that he wouldn't be better with a real coaching staff.
I'd like to see what Glennon can do with an improved coaching staff and a healthy offensive roster.
How many times have we seen 2 and 20ish, coaching calls a draw that gets 2 or 3 yards, then Glennon is expected to convert on 3rd and 15+? No QB can look good in that situation consistently and yet we ask our rookie QB to do it several times a game.

That is what drives me most crazy about the playcalling.
Glennon looked like a rookie playing against a really defense with terrible playcalling. he played better than I thought he would. I don't even hold that INT against him because it was garbage time and hes just trying to make something happen on 4th down.he cant help that our line cant runblock and the 49ers had the luxury of knowing he was going to throw. not to mention our genius coaches having Penn turn Aldon Smith loose and expect Rainey to block him one on one. that might be one of the dumbest things ive ever seen happen in a game.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. I'd like to see what Glennon can do with a half-way decent staff.
what exactly would a different QB do with a team that has a bad OC, cant run the ball, or have receivers get open? I hate how that sounds like Im defending Glennon, but its just an honest question. Since so many people seem to want a new QB Im wondering what they think itll accomplish right now? Might as well get Tebow and run option every single play because there's not a passing QB that will be available for us next year that could do significantly more than Glennon can with this offense.

How many times do we see a 3rd and 4 or 5 and he throws the ball 2 yards. He can't extend plays and that's a big liability.
all good reasons not to put the blame on Glennon alone. now let's be sure to get a shot at the top qbs in the draft.

I can. We have horrible coaching right now. Every player on the team will look better with real coaching.
Caradoc is right. Hate to admit it, but he is.Everyone will do better with a coach that knows what to do on gameday.

He actually does quite well extending plays. He moves well and squares up to throw nicely.
If the Rams play next week, like they are today....we are gonna get crushed.

They did that last time they played the Saints.
