Would anybody else want Tajh Boyd in the second round if he's there? If we could go Anthony Barr/ Tajh Boyd that'd be a damn good draft.

Icky, no way.
You guys can name all the QBs you want, but none of them will succeed in the situation we have.
Agreed. We have to get an entire new coaching staff to have any chance in 2014....but I would still rather have a guy like blake Bortles to compete with Glennon, rather than just head into 2014 with all our eggs in the Glennon basket. He might blow up in his second year with a new staff, but he hasn't shown enough yet for me to feel confident in that. We have to have a legit option B next year.

Why not wait for Famous Jameis? If we ride out with Glennon next year with at least a new OC we will find out if he is the guy or not. If he is as bad as people say then we should be in position for Winston or another top guy.
It's amazing at how well Glennon has done this year with things considered. Some offense adapt their scheme to make it easier on their rookie. We seem to do the opposite
Baller.
Luck as a rookie was amazing. Glennon is not.The schemes could not be much more simplistic - the play calls show that OC is a position of need.

Most QBs are not Andrew Luck. He's probably the best prospect to come out since Manning. That's what, 15 years? When was the last time a "not-running" QB had a great rookie season?
Plays very well in a quicker-paced offense with lots of precision short passes. If these were mixed with our run game, he would have far greater success. As it is in Sullivan's thump-and-chunk offense, when the run game isn't working, he is obviously not nearly mobile enough. Kaepernick, OTOH, is amazing...
Let's not say Sullivan....this is what Rutgers wants. Run, run play action deep. Anyone he hires is going to basically bring this same approach to the game - and more than likely it is his old buddy on the staff McNulty that takes over at OC. A man steeped in the ways of the Rutgers.
Sadly, I have to agree. Schiano has, publicly at least, said Sullivan isn't gonna be replaced. That could be his downfall, a la Tony Dungy...
The offense looks like shit, Something has to change..
I am not sold on Glennon at all and would not be upset if we went QB in round 1. With that said, look at the talent around Glennon. Other than Jackson...all the skill players are practice squad scrubs and undrafted guys. I definitely want the Bucs to draft another QB to compete with Glennon. It could be in the 1st round or rounds 2-4. With that said, we really need to add weapons on offense. If Clowney or Barr are gone when we pick, I say draft the best QB, WR, or trade down and draft a TE. We have to get more weapons on offense for Glennon or whomever ends up being the QB.
I think Glennon has actually shown enough to be given a shot...with a different OC ... and different HC, if possible. That said, he also has not shown enough to pass on a top prospect...if there is one available...which there may not be. It's an awkward spot to be in. You can't pass, but you have to be very careful not to reach.A lot of fans here are going to sell themselves on a particular QB leading up to the draft. If they haven't already. And there will be much sturm and drang if we don't pick their favorite. We need to draft another QB. But reaching early would be a huge mistake.
If we spend a 1st on a QB there will be no competition. That R1 QB will be the starter for atleast 2 years and likely longer. I don't think Glennon has set the world on fire, but I do think he has done very well with what he has been given to work with. Add to that Teddy Bridgewater will not last until we pick and I just don't see the point of a R1 QB. Looking at all the holes we have and the no 3rd round pick and I really don't see a QB before round 4, if we draft one at all.I'm not against upgrading the QB position, I just don't see one that I consider an upgrade that we could reasonably get. Bridgewater will be gone (and I'm not interesting in giving up an RG3 deal for him), I don't trust JFF, Cutler will want large cheddar (and will be 31 before next season starts), and none of the other QBs in the draft look like they belong in the top of the draft. I think we are best served to roll with Glennon next year and spend our resources on weapons for him. If he bombs next year we should get a good pick in what appears to be a very good QB draft.
Without Bridgewater, I like Bortles (if he comes out) and Manziel (if he comes out). If all three of these QB's are not coming out I don't think a QB is in the cards for the first round. So Glennon will receive a shot next season most likely.
Glennon would still get a chance to play......when our starter gets hurt. Just like every other back up in the league.
