Lmao. All the excuses for Freeman are suddenly not excuses for glennon. They are now valid because he's not Freeman?Drops happen to every qb. Teams have enough on glennon to shut him down now. He's not responding and still struggles late in games. People are looking for the smallest of things to hang their hats on. He threw for two tds! There wasn't much of a run game! Cmon, any circumstances aside, he didn't play well. Add in those circumstances, he still didn't play well.Coaching calls don't determine his awareness late in games. They don't eliminate him from progressions. They don't make him throw bad balls over Wrs heads. Glennon is a rookie and that gives him some breathing room. He needs competition next year. It doesn't appear that any qb will be available in the draft as an obvious upgrade and fa looks bleak too. So at the very least there needs to be open competition at qb.

They are 32nd in Offense and passing offense.  How is this even a discussion that we need an upgrade?

This is the part that blows my mind. We are last in the league in offense and some are ready to crown our starting QB as irreplaceable. Hmmm. Schiano has sold them a bill of goods that make any salesman look like a saint. Remember when he said Mike Glennon gives us the best chance to win? LMFAO!

There was a great comment earlier when someone called him Jason Campbell.  A back up that wont kill you but no one considers him to be a long term elite starter.  I was impressed with him vs the Lions but he has really regressed except for a drive here or there.

Bobby Rainey, Tiquan Underwood, Tim Wright, Eric Page, Skye Dawson, Chris Owusu, Brian Leonard. Outside of VJax, these are your other skill position players. WTF do expect from this offense? Ive said my piece on Glennon but it is extremely short-sighted and narrow-minded to lay blame at the feet of the QB on this one.

32nd.  That means they are worse than Jax.  It's not all Glennon of course, but he is closer to the problem than the solution if you are looking to have a top 10 Offense, assuming that's important to the team.

Name him.  No snide or smarta$$ comments, no pointless bashing.  Name the guy we could get that is better than Glennon.  Nothing vague like "trade for a backup" or "draft one".  Give us a name.

Well, at 32, by definition of better, that's a big list.  Off the top of my head, Cousins and Cutler will be available.  Cousins for a 2, Cutler via FA.  There are many QB's in the draft, the merits of which have been and will debated at length.  Again, 32, isn't a high bar to jump over.

Because there are people that actually understand football. There are a lot of things that make up as a whole. Has Glennon been great? No, but he shows flashes of being the franchise guy. Now we go to why is he only showing flashes and not consistency? Is it because he is inconsistent? It his line blocking for him? Is his receiver getting open? Does he have a run game? Is he missing open receivers too often? Is the playcalling helping or handicapping him? Does he have the coaching to succeed and learn at this level? You can look at it from the narrow view that you guys seem to look at it. But reality is there are people that look at the whole picture while you think you found waldo. What I mean by that is you place the blame on Glennon. You say Glennon is the problem. But is he really the problem? Is he the waldo of the offense? That would mean he would have to be the biggest problem on this offense. To me he isn't. Coaching, injures, and lack of playmakers are the biggest problem. You can draft another QB, but how much better can he do with this staff and the guys we have now? My guess is not much better than Glennon is doing.

Sorry but that excuse doesn't work.Sure it might be a reason why we're not a top 10 offense but we're not a top 31 offense in a 32 team league. You can't honestly say that is the reason EVERY other team in the league is better.Other than Josh Gordon name me a Browns offensive skill player that their garbage QBs have had to work with, they somehow manage to be top 14.The freakin' Jags rank higher.

Right? By his logic Kaepernick, Wilson, Flacco, Newton, Smith make up the worst QB's in the league.

Seeing Glennon flail in the wind on those final few drives yesterday said a LOT. Parity is the name of the game in the NFL, and if you can't even complete a pass on two 2-minute drill drives.. I can't remember the last time we've been that bad.5 incompletions, 2 sacks and a pick to end the game.

I'm sure players give 100% in a lost cause. Down 3 scores after an emotional letdown on the KR I'm not sure what you expect.

What do I expect from you? Excuses. And you delivered.

Facts/reasons/excuses they all mean the same thing on this board which is excuses. There are reasons why this happens and that happens, but people such as yourself just like to think of them as an excuses. In the real world things happen which cause other things to happen. Which are called reasons. Fact is it was garbage time. Teams don't play 100%.

You sound like 8 year old Lord Revis trying to tell his mom why his excuse is not an excuse.Fact is, if you're down 16 (2 TDs and 2 2pc's) in the 4th quarter with a chance to win and you're not playing 100% then the coach needs to be axed and the players disciplined.

Here's the problem I am referring to the last drive we had the ball down 19 points. You clearly talking about something else. But to respond to your statement if you ever played football it's a game that runs off emotion. You think you're getting the ball back down only 9 points then just like that you are let down by a horrible play. Now all of a sudden you're down 16 points. Injuries and lack of talent are the 2nd worst. Play football, study football, and learn football. Those are my suggestions to you.

We were down 16 and threw 4 incompletions. Go rewatch the game and get back to me.

That's cool, but again I said not what I was referring too. Reading comprehension can go a long ways.
