Let's just cut Glennon and draft Manziel. It will make 80% of these boards ecstatic, and then after Week 4 next year, they'll all be b*tching and looking for the next franchise QB.
We are 27 in pass attempts so we shouldn't have a ton of yards but unlike those other team it isn't because we are efficient. We have 889 total plays which is 28 overall. We are 24th plays per drive and 31st in yards per drive, 30th in first downs ...but good news we are 14 in time of possession so while we don't go far it takes us a long time to go not far.
Lol. Good one liner there.Still, doesn't it get old watching Matt Cassel, Matt Flynn, Fitzpatrick, McCown, et al light it up week after week and Tampa has guys like Glennon, Freeman, and Grads? It seems improbable we cant produce one 400 yard game like every other crappy team in this pass friendly NFL considering how often we play from behind.

What no response to me because your logic is flawed and stupid?

WTH are you talking about? Glennon isnt a top 10 starter, and the Bucs don't have a top 10 offensive scheme. He is the QB of the 32nd ranked offense because he isn't very good. Other QB's pile up yards because they are good passers or they play from behind and know how to work a soft zone. Glennon does neither. Good kid, good back up, mediocre starter. Does that work for you?

You're using offensive passing rank while ignoring all other stats to say Glennon isn't the guy. That isn't a logical way to prove a point. Glennon is 23rd in the league NOT 32nd. Remember Freeman started 3 games.
No stat says Glennon is the guy. Not sure why you would have any skin in the game here. Other teams pass the ball, and put up yards. We don't. And more to the point, he is regressing badly since a pretty decent start after his first two games.

Well to some extent of course no one really throws for 300 yards on as few throws as he makes. Since that CAR game where he threw 51 times he has thrown on average 24 times per game. Even at 65% accuracy that is 16 completions and few people average 20 YPC. To me so much of this is that we are pathetic on RAC. Glennon, for example, is 43rd among QBs in percentage of yards gained after the catch. We just don't get people the ball where they can add yards behind the catch.

Yeah I mean he's having a terrible season for a rookie. Completing 60% of his passes,17/8 TD/INT ratio, and a QB rating of 85.3. That's terrible.
They are 32nd in Offense and passing offense. How is this even a discussion that we need an upgrade?
This is the part that blows my mind. We are last in the league in offense and some are ready to crown our starting QB as irreplaceable. Hmmm. Schiano has sold them a bill of goods that make any salesman look like a saint. Remember when he said Mike Glennon gives us the best chance to win? LMFAO!
Bobby Rainey, Tiquan Underwood, Tim Wright, Eric Page, Skye Dawson, Chris Owusu, Brian Leonard. Outside of VJax, these are your other skill position players. WTF do expect from this offense? Ive said my piece on Glennon but it is extremely short-sighted and narrow-minded to lay blame at the feet of the QB on this one.
Sorry but that excuse doesn't work.Sure it might be a reason why we're not a top 10 offense but we're not a top 31 offense in a 32 team league. You can't honestly say that is the reason EVERY other team in the league is better.Other than Josh Gordon name me a Browns offensive skill player that their garbage QBs have had to work with, they somehow manage to be top 14.The freakin' Jags rank higher.
Kaepernick, Wilson, Flacco, Newton, and Smith rank 20th or lower as far as team rankings go for passing. They must suck too then, huh?
Funny that all those guys are a part of a run heavy offense and are productive enough when they are asked to pass that defenses can't load up to stop the run leading to things like Seattle being 12th overall, KC being 17th overall, we're 32nd overall and 32nd for the pass.Maybe if Glennon was more of a threat to actually do something when asked to put the ball in the air we would have a more productive overall offense but no we have a guy that put up 4 yards passing on 9 attempts during the first 4 drives of the last game, awesome stuff. No wonder there's no room to run and the offense stinks. Then we get to that 4th quarter where we're behind thanks to the "franchise level" play of Glennon and ask him to pull out a win and we get negative yardage, interceptions, sacks. What exactly is there about the guy other than a padded stat line which makes people think he's the answer because he fails the eye test every single game.I was on board with him being our long term answer as a backup earlier in the year but the more I see of him the less I think he's capable of even being that, he flat out stinks other than for a drive or 2 a game.

You missed the point and my other post. Glennon IS 23rd in the NFL. However, we are ranked 32nd. Remember Freeman started 3 games. The point is it's STUPID to base your evaluation on a guy because the team is ranked 32nd in passing. Look at ALL the stats don't cherry pick to try and prove a point.

So now stats are misleading. But you were making a point out of us being 32nd. You contradict yourself so no reason to argue when I'm arguing with two different people who share one body.
The bottom line with Glennon is that he's a guy who, thrown into a truly horrible situation for a rookie, has shown signs that he can potentially be a franchise QB. I know people want to deny that for various reasons -- be it he "looks goofy" or his ties to Schiano, or his draft status, (It's also no coincidence that outside of JDouble, his biggest haters seem to be almost universally the Freepologist crew) -- but the fact is he has shown that potential. Unfortunately for him has has not show it enough to pass on a top prospect. Whether that is because of the situation around him or his own failings, is irrelevant because we can't truly distinguish which is more the issue -- again, despite what people want to claim on both sides. The only QB coming out in this draft that I think is areal elite prospect is TB, and we aren't getting him. So I think for the most part we are stuck with Glennon. Unless we want to roll the dice on Manzeil. Which I would be down with, although I hope we could move down or get him in the second if that is the case.
I can see Manziel next year running around and getting blown-up like the punter from the Bengals last night.

No stats have always been misleading but they are the only thing you and your ilk see so they are a necessary evil, there is no contradicting at all.The only way a stat even remotely approaches being worthwhile is if can be used as a good summary for what you see when actually watching the game. When I watch the Bucs this season with my own eyes, instead of cherry picking stats I like, I don't see a good QB (All Glennons "nice" stats), I see a guy that is useless who instead of being hindered by a bad offense (32nd) is a massive part of why it's a bad offense (4 yards on first 4 drives & negative yards in the 4th quarter).Seriously, put aside all the stats and point to me one game, a WHOLE game rather a drive or 2 where you've been able to watch Mike play and say that's our franchise QB of the future.I'll readilly admit he usually has 1 maybe 2 (if we're "lucky") good series a game but outside that it's disgusting.
