Mike evans has got to be the worst YAC receiver of all time. I don't understand? is it him? or bad play call not getting him into open space? catch the ball and get more then 1 YAC please.
After Cam Brates first catch of the game, Which was in the second half...really??? I sarcastically told myself "oh nice, cam brate is still on the team". he has been non-existent the last few weeks.
That 3rd and 2 play call was horrible. I put some of the blame on Humphries too. why would you not run past the chains before you turn around? I actually don't mind that they went for it on 4th and 1, but why is keotter trying to throw down field??? we were actually having a decent run game for a change. if you really have to throw it dump it off to a TE for a couple yards. it just blows my mind.
Defense
Why are our corners playing such soft coverage? they play ten yards from the line of scrimmage week after week. its not working yet mike smith still doesn't change anything. all they have to do is run a quick slant for 8 yards and they get a first down everytime. Even the commentators were scratching their heads saying how easy it was for the falcons to move the ball when the corner is 10 yards away. then on a crucial 3rd down at the end of the game, we press julio with ryan smith and smith falls down and julio catches and easy first down. its crazy to me that mike smith doesn't change after it doesn't work over and over. giving up over 500 yards is just unacceptable.
Dirk and Mike have to go ASAP. Let Monken be interim for the last 5 games.
