corner blitz and pressures and yet 0 adjustments.

Thats the QB and/or the OC but I mean we had two plays woith their DE unblocked.  One of them our RT knows immediately becaue his first step is INSIDE to a blocked DT

Thye are the better tam though, if we are being fair.  All around better. Didnt they score on 3 straight drives?

I think its Baker at the line, he's making calls

This is an astute observation that most don’t pickup on. There were a couple of those unblocked defenders that were on the QB, either by shifting the blocking assignments or simply recognizing there will be unblocked defender and needing to get ball out to his hot route. There were also a couple plays that the QB has to check out of, once he sees the defense, that he didn’t. And obviously missed some throws.

The good side is he made some big throws too. Made a couple nice plays outside of the pocket with his feet.

Overall, I’d say a solid B. Not as good as he was vs. Philly, but nowhere near as bad as he was vs. Detroit earlier in the season either. He kept his team in the game, just came up short at the end.

I think its Baker at the line, he's making calls that lean towards aggression and using himself as the one to pass the ball and take the hit, its gutsy, but try and limit it for your own health.

true although the center too BUT that’s why I was pointing out that this was a DE and no other blitzers around. So, our RT has to see him but steps inside first. He steps rightback out as soon as he sees the DT is blocked. It’s  like he lost concentration, thought a TE was coming over or that an RB was there

tgat could be on Mayfield but would be very unusual to leave a DE unblocked except for something like a run the other way

confusion

Always tough to lose one that you felt you could steal. Especially a playoff game that ends your season.

If I had to put a majority of blame on anyone, it's easily on Bowles.

Just don't get why he continued to put White and Neal in during big/crucial situations. These 2 clowns looked completely lost out there.

And, then, to revert back to the same weak/soft zone when your blitzing wasn't getting home. The middle of the field was just there for the taking the 2nd half. Blown gap assignments were happening too often.

Just a complete and total failure defensively.

I mean.  3 big takeaways for offseason growth and learning.  One Bowles, you need to just be more aggressive.  You don’t have Ronde Barber who lived just to hide in zones and explode on you, we have good cover guys that can run next to the Wr and play coverage, making them sit in zone, despite all the evidence-and even your own statements, Coach you turned Lions into Sheep because you’re too comfortable being conservative, and when it mattered, you reverted to your comfort zone which is playing “not to lose” there’s no faster way to lose than to play with a “bend don’t break” mentality.  They should have pinned their ears back from play one and over and over against…we didn’t, we played.
Conservative defense”

  O open gut

W rong fundamental defense strategy and tactics

  A fraid?/A fraud??

R everted to YOUR comfort zone, yOURz, and yours Alone, the team tried to be aggressive despite you, had you only “bent” and played man and blitzed we win!!!! That was                 100 on YOU, you chose to play skerred!!!!

   D efense

The good news is.  It’s all fixable with one simple, yet monumentally difficult, internal/personal adjustment.  Bowles has to choose who he wants to be.  A Sheep, all safe feeling and warm in its conservative cotton poof ball of a “defense” to the elements, or will he be a Lion and learn to love the taste of blood over the taste of safe, familiar, soft play calling, or will he go for the throat and warm his body by eating the flesh of his enemies.  I saw like 2 gutsy calls, and a game ending number of bad calls.  Canales was pretty friggin good for a rookie.  If if if, Baker can stay with the same OC, for like-just-1 MOAH season, he might progress as a player as opposed to tread water as he has been, just relying on his own intangibles.  If Bowles will ALWAYS REVERT TO A SHEEP IN CRUNCH TIME, then he’s not the answer…he might get us to the playoffs year in and year out, but he will always fall short and lose because he chose to leave his Ballz at home that day.  If he can fix it, be a TRUE Buccaneer and develop a taste for Blood and Plunder and Booty….he might be great.  If he can’t, I’d rather give Canales the keys now, stick him and Baker together for the next decade.  But best case scenario is that Bowles Ascends to what he could be if he simply brings his PAIR to every game, and Canales loves working with the organization and players that he opts to stay OC for the foreseeable future.  I mean Monty Python stuck around for years as a legend DC, he was courted for HC year in and year out, eventually ppl even stopped asking him to interview for HC because they knew the answer. I wish all the coaches all the best in the offseason, and I hope they work on their holes and weaknesses coaches, players, internally, team wise, and org wise.  Let’s get ready to put our best foot forward game 1 next year.  Anyhoo Cheers!!! Aaand tootaloo for tonight bishes, I’m grieving until tomorrow.

Plus the first TD drive where he left the second string defensive line in there and they were getting gashed. They were trying to go fast to prevent changing, butif you get in that situation, call a time out and make some changes. One day he'll learn to stay away from zone unless he actually drafts some corners that excel at it. Ours are man and he needs to play to their strengths, and, for the love of God, please let White and Neal go bye bye.

Bowles ballz just sucked right into his body, like when your hot water runs out but you still have soap on you and your ballz just suck right up, sperm are tightly temp controlled-thats sorta that meckanizm of axction jaja

Biggs giving Baker a B is the most Biggs thing I've ever read.

Baker played fantastic. You are high as hell.

Bowles was so effing bad. The soft cover and soft zone. Infuriating.

Baker and Canales enough but I just wish we opened it up earlier. We were stiff during the first half.

And as far as Baker adjusting protection at the line, yes room for improvement... but that's what happens when your center is Hainsey. Having a vet like Jensen has to help with protection. Young line etc... Baker can improve there but I'd prefer we just upgrade the line.

Hainsey and Stinne gotta go...

I think we've covered this before. Your problem is you don't know what you're seeing, therefore you don't know what you're talking about. This "analysis" above confirms what you've already shown.

LOL.

This season, according to Buggsy, (1) Trask was supposed to start over Mayfield in October but he told everyone in December (when the Bucs were winning with Mayfield playing lights out) that it was "consistently" his position that Mayfield should be benched for Trask (2) "because the playoffs didn't matter" like they would've (3) "if the Bucs were a young team."

:-)
