Game Etiquette

I'm an out of stater, came in town for the Browns game. We were lucky enough to have good seats with a good view. In the 4th quarter, around the 4 minute mark, I stood and cheered for the majority of the snaps. A fella, a few rows back yelled for me to sit down. I ignored the first few times, then I turned and said "stand up-see all those FANS standing" and pointed towards the endzone area near the ship where nearly everyone was standing. It was a Bucs fan that was upset.

So my question is, is it rude to stand during a game? I pay good money for 1 game a year and I can't stand and cheer?
