Offense:
While you never want to be one-dimensional, I do anticipate a heavy aerial attack in week one, as I foresee early struggles for Barber/Jones running against SF. We should look to incorporate some screens, even to WRs and OJ Howard, as well as some slants, outs, and drives, with the emphasis on 3 getting the ball out quickly and decisively. I trust Byron/BA, and I trust the playmakers on offense to come up with 20+ on Sunday.
Defense:
Jimmy G is back from a blown knee. He's looked rusty for the most part, but rebounded well in his final preseason start. I like our chances of shutting down the run game with Suh, Vea, and Gholston leading the surge. Once they fail to establish a run game, Garopolo will be forced into passing often. I expect Bowles to utilize some DB blitzes and a healthy dose of 45 and 54, to bring the heat and create some big plays for the defense.
Prediction:
SF 10
