His star is rising & all those who hoped to get him as a 5th round steal (myself included) are realizing that is no longer gonna happen. I still wouldn't draft him before the 3rd/4th rd....but he's def moving up draft boards.Adam Schefter ?@AdamSchefter 11mNFL world abuzz about Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo http://www.suntimes.com/sports/25102521-419/nfl-world-is-all-abuzz-about-eastern-illinois-qb-garoppolo.html
Get him Licht
Maybe, maybe not. Just remember the only players that are doing anything right now are these 100 or so seniors. They're getting all the attention. But come draft time, there's going to be 100 underclassmen and a handful of seniors who decided they're too good for Mobile who will be under consideration.
The top of the top aren't in mobile for sure but what is there is really better than the national championship team all around. The biggest concern about Garraploo was level of competition. If he can play with this bunch then that concerns gets diminished a Logan he is less of a project you have to stash for a few years and maybe more of a shorter term answer. That will push him up. There is no way he gets to day 3 for sure and I really think top of R2 is likely just because that is where QB needy teams are picking.
Grap grap grap
Jimmy G!
Biggest concern is his tiny hands.
Biggest concern is his tiny hands.
Someone addressed the 'hand issue' yesterday (I think it was Dal)...Small hands are only an issue if there is cause/effect. JG has played in Illinois for 3+ years in a lot of inclement weather with no extraordinary issues with ball control....He's going to go late 1st, early second round by the time all is said and done.Great fit for Tedfords system. I like the fact he can ride the pine for a year while MG is evaluated (if they choose that route)
