The best FL HS players are enticed to go out of state by NIL. Tallahassee is a small city with no real economic base to provide NIL money to athletes. UF is in better position but still can't compete against the big money schools. NIL and the transfer portal has ruined NCAA sports.

kids don’t deserve to get paid? How much money do they generate for the schools?

basketball and football especially generates millions if not tens of millions annually.
In fact those are the only two sports that profit as far as I’m aware.
kids shouldn’t have to sit out a year to be eligible. Life, especially college, is too short.
NIL has always been a thing. Now it’s just regulated(kind of).
