@NFLSTROUD: Schiano said before he arrived in Tampa Bay, they were using the 'B-word,' to describe McCoy (bust). No mention of the 'M' word (McTwigarms)
Schiano really likes to toot his own horn.
Thankfully Schiano made McCoy's arms stop tearing.
I hope the subject line was how Schiano phrased it too. Him going all George Costanza referring to himself in the third person is really just too perfect.
Well, it was his former coach who said the Pop Warner tackling was causing his problems...

GMC looked promising when he played once in a blue moon those first 2 years.

Exactly. He's always been a good player. He just now has the body to play a whole season.

It's quite possible, didn't he make Mike William's hamstrings tear? and Carl Nicks' foot become infected with MRSA? and Josh Freeman buy far to many scented candles?
Brian Price was described as a "B-word" before Schiano got here too
There were plenty of people here calling McCoy a bust his rookie season.
I heard him say it. It was something like "Gerapd has really come on in last two years. Before I got here people didn't talk about him much"I wasn't exactly enthused to hear him say that. Ambitious inference and politics.. Hmm.Steve White tore him up. He mentioned how Schiano said that we are stunting at same rate as last year. Schiano went on to say "I'd love to send four straight up but we don't have that right now" (paraphrasing), implying that we don't have the talent on edges to keep contain and simply make it all work. Ok.. Sounds reasonable. -But! Last year we had Michael Bennett and still stunted that way. Anyways, I feel like it only changes around here when it absolutely needs to, but even worse, we eventually slide back into doing the stuff that wasn't productive in first place. I wish I saw more progress, bc there is plenty to like about Schiano... ..but! I haven't seen close to enough. Just being honest
Also, since Sapp had a sit down with Schiano , McCoy has 6 sacks in six games. Hmmm. Maybe Sapp should be the one claiming some of that credit! Lol
What a freaking joke

I agree with allot here, especially the part about Schiano being right, we don't have the DE's to just rush four. And Booger, and Steve White, both are growing stale as they beat that dead horse. However, Bennett while serviceable, is not a dominant pass rusher. I too think there is allot to like about Schiano. Passion, player support, talent evaluation and talent development, team values etc. we just need a legit OC, preferably from outside the family.
LOL. McCoy is the one who's had to tell this moron twice to stop running stunts so he could actually get to the QB. McCoy has always been a very good player. Once he went down for the season in 2011, our defense completely collapsed and we didn't win a game the rest of the season. Before that, our defense was solid and we were 4-2. Hilarious that Schiano is trying to take credit for turning him into an elite player. Wouldn't expect anything less from this clown.
