FYI my skin is peeling as we speak!!Gerald McCoy is a proud Oklahoma alum, but recently the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle found himself wearing burnt orange.Again: A Sooner was wearing the color of the Texas Longhorns—all because his team let him down.A couple of weeks ago, No. 10 Oklahoma was a big favorite in the Red River Showdown against Texas. With his Sooners undefeated and the Longhorns unranked, McCoy felt confident enough to make a friendly bet with Texas alums Henry Melton and Roy Miller on the game.That bet came back to bite McCoy.Texas jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and held on for a 24-17 victory. The upset meant McCoy was going to have to sport the colors of a hated rival.
