To establish one of the worst offensive records of the last decade, then hope that Devin Hester saves you from yourself.
It sounds like youdon 't know what lovies football philosophies are...
He doesn't. But when has that ever stopped him before?
Dolorous Jason: "I take it you are not a fan , illum ??"I'm looking for a reason to believe that things will be different this time. What I keep hearing is that things will be different because we're going to use the same plan that didn't work last time.

But you're missing the point... LOVIE, we all love us some Lovie because we know his name and he was here 150 years ago when the team was good!!!! :DI'm scarred to hell about us adding Lovie to a team that currently has Mike "least production in the league" Glennon at QB and next to no offensive playmakers. This has all the right ingredients to make BucBall look like the Greatest Show on Turf.

You aren't looking for reasons to believe anything. That would suggest that you're open to being swayed towards believing by a compelling argument, and we both know that no argument is going to compel you, so why not stop the act? You're mad Schiano was canned, and now want a guy you approve of or else "the team will be set back by 1,000 years!"
You sir, are a liar.
You should talk to some Chicago fans. They seem to believe that Lovie wouldn't change until he was forced to, and his record on offensive picks was absymal. He did build a great defense, but he never built a great team. The Devin Hester pick propelled them to the Super Bowl - but he was picked as a wide receiver. They caught lightning in a bottle. It's been said that Lovie will bring Dungy qualities, and that's true. Years of above average, but it will take someone else to take the team to greatness, unless we can hit on a Devin Hester, or better yet a Payton Manning. I don't see anything in his record to indicate that will happen. Like I said, if we take Lovie as HC, we'll need a strong GM to save him from himself. So, from the very beginning an adversarial relationship will be set up. If that's going to be the situation, the GM pick will actually be more important than HC. http://www.drafthistory.com/teams/bears.html
Pretty sure Hester was drafted as a CB

since you do not want to expand on lovie smiths philosphies, why do you believe the Bears were not good offensively under him?
Does Lovie believe in running up the middle on 2nd and 11 on the reg ? Lol

The irony here is too much

by reg do you mean about half the time?
Half the time if you include all the 2nd halves in which we were behind and trying to come back , and all the 2 minute drills, etc.....and if you ignore all those pesky little details, 50/50 is still way too much.
