His article on giving Smith credit for the turnaround was one that some would not have written. Don't get me wrong. Even as I didn't agree with him whole-heartedly, I could see where he was coming from when saying Smith should be fired if we lost to Jacksonville and after we lost to Washington the way we did. At the same time, I actually asked the staff where the stood on the Bucs after the Cowboys game. Was the glass half full with a team that is clearly getting better or was the glass half full because they felt that Lovie was not the coach for our team and we wouldn't go very far without him (I am paraphrasing). Were they hopeful or resigned where our team was concerned?Granted, the season has a ways to go and a lot could happen either way. However, the point here is that I feel Reynolds deserves respect for being willing to call it the way he sees it, and not allowing personal pride keeping him from publicly saying that even as Lovie has made some mistakes, he also deserves credit for beginning to make the team "relevant" again.
