All i know is i want a new QB next year. Agree or disagree... But as a Buc fan i know what i want to see. Glennon was absolutely horrible in the second half of every game. He is not the future and it would really suck to see our new regime waste another year on him.
The rookie QB isn't calling the plays, it was obvious that it was play calling and lack of 2nd half adjustments. You just never wanted to give Glennon a shot, even though he had basically nothing to work with on offense other than 1 good WR and a good young TE. What the hell do you expect from this kid? 19/9 TD:INT is seriously impressive for a 3rd round rookie, he deserves a shot, and if you don't want to give it to him...well thats why you're a fan and not a professional
Jj looked good too, but did he win? Same trouble with glennon. It's not worth forgetting a qb in the first.
Wow JDud makes it sound like he rather have Freeman than Glennon.
No I didn't. You just lack reading comprehension.
If Glennon is not the guy and the top 2 QB's are as good as people say they are, they won't be there when we pick at 7. If we do trade up we will have no one to protect him anyway. It will be like a Redskins/Rams situation. Some other team will have our second overall pick next year and we will have a ruined QB and another head coach.
The OL excuse is getting abused. Replace Davin with a bag of rocks and the OL is average.

You wanna just look at 19/9 in a vacuum but you gotta look deeper than one stat man. I watched every game. I know what I saw. It's not like I am making things up here. He was awful in the second half of every game and he was awful for entire games on a few occasions. He chokes under pressure. He feels phantom pressure and hurries things when there is no reason. He has no situational awareness. He has no escapability. His accuracy is inconssistant cause he is always leaving the pocket early and drift back wards and throwing off his back foot. In the last five games of the season, once team's had film on him, he regressed big time. He averaged only 165 passing yards per game and he completed just 49% of his passes. He had 6 TDs, 5 Interceptions, and was sacked 16 times. That's garbage bro.If you look at his second half stats for the entire season it is even worse. He only completed 53% of his second half passes and the ones he did complete only averaged 5.2 yards per pass. Just 6 TDs and 7 Interceptions in the second half all year. A QB rating of 63. Sacked 24 times. That's awful. If you wanna make excuses for him and give him another year then that is your right and your opinion. I don't share it. I think he is a serviceable back up QB. We don't have to agree....but don't pretend I didn't give him a chance to earn my support. I said after the Detroit game that he needed to finish strong and perhaps he could be our starter....and then he was horrible for the final 5 games. He went from average to bad. Never great, Never special. I know the coaching was bad and we were missing some players....but if a guy is special he will shine. Glennon never flashed. He never carried the team or made everyone else better. He never even had a single 300+ yard game. In two of our four wins, the Bills and Dolphins, if you combine his stats from both games he completed 20 of 46 (44%) passes for just 229 yards. That is two games combined...but people wanna say we won because of him and not despite? Maybe that's good enough for you and others, but I would like the Bucs to keep their standards high and keep looking for an exciting stud QB.
Wow JDud makes it sound like he rather have Freeman than Glennon.
No I didn't. You just lack reading comprehension.
It's not lack of reading comprehension. You put some parts in red and the rest in black and said that is your opinion. Easily can be mistaken.

The POINT was that the awful GARBAGE CAN FREEMAN did BETTER with the EXACT SAME coaching staff and O-line...so stop using coaching and O-line as an excuse. Apparently i didn't dumb it down to your 6th grade reading level the first time.....although you'd think referring to Freeman as a garbage can would be kind of an obvious hint that I definitely wasn't promoting Freeman.
Why is Jdud always so angry ?
Why is Jdud always so angry ?
You kidding? I'm still high as fuck and doing occasional cartwheels from the joy and relief of Monday's firing. I am a little sad I never got to sh!t on his car though.
Why is Jdud always so angry ?
Because his constant fantasies about hot QBs never come to life for him.

So you are saying Freeman is better. Just like I thought. No matter how you try to spin it you are saying Freeman is better than Glennon. But hey I can't comprehend anything. Sorry Glennon isn't cute enough for you JDud.
Glennon is replacable but anyone who thinks Blake Bortles is someone we should use the first round pick on is a moron.

I mean he's cute so he's worth a 1st round pick.
This whole conversation is a joke. JDouble, what you describe in your post is not what happened on the field. Sorry, but even professional announcers during the games were commenting on how poised he was in the pocket, how he would quickly go through his progressions, and how he managed to not make a lot of mistakes. His accuracy was also a big plus. You are seeing things that weren't there. Perhaps you were drunk off your posterior. All QB's can get flustered at times, and Glennon is no exception, but he spent a lot more time being poised during the rush than not. He actually reminded me a lot of the way Manning hangs in the pocket trying to stay calm until a receiver gets open. The problem he had was what he was throwing to and how much time he actually had to stand there and go through the reads. It's funny that people who do this for a living seem to think differently than the Glennon haters on this board. That should tell you something. Is he a franchise QB? Too early to tell. But, as I said, with talent around him, and an offense that makes defenses actually have to think and read, I think he's a top 15 QB. More than good enough to win a Super Bowl if you have the other pieces. Another thing to consider is how much better he looked in the no-huddle when he could dictate the offense to the defense. The kid's good, and likely good enough. We need to get some competition in here, no doubt, but he's not a throw away like some of you think. Freeman, however, was. He had the same problems continue to pop up.Oh, and JDouble, how can you have the same o-line when several players that played last year were injured and players were being shuffled around all season? And how can you be running the exact same offense from one year to the next when you've switched to a rookie, and thereby have to dumb it down even more than it already is? And why did Freeman suck in the first 3 games? Exactly. Your argument is invalid.
When Glennon was drafted I described him as Freeman-lite because he does have mechanical break downs (footwork). Unlike Freeman though he was a rookie and he has improved a lot. Freeman was a fifth year QB with poor footwork still on the other hand. Fundamental question to ask is what offense will Tedford run? A play action offense? Spread? And how does Glennon fit in?
