I'm a fan of Ross, not as much as I was in the beginning, but still a fan. Licht is better at talent evaluations it seems. Fine with either.

I've said it earlier - evaluating these guys from the outside is hard. We just don't/can't know how much credit these guys should get for what happened in their previous stops. Just think about the Bucs - how would you assign credit/blame between Dominik, Hickey, Schiano, Raheem? I think all the candidates have pretty solid resumes overall though.
All candidates have great respect around the league and all of them are future GM's, I also do not see the hate for Ross, guy has a great resume, in the end I still believe it will be Vital.
All the picks that Marc Ross is famous for: JPP, Amukamara, Nicks, etc. were BPA picks. Top 10 talent that dropped due to character concerns, one year production, etc. Boom or bust types, a trained monkey could've drafted. Unimpressed. Another NY Giant to set this franchise back. Thanks, Glazers.

I don't agree with all of those picks, but I don't understand how you can characterize them as picks anybody could have made. Fourteen teams were scared off of JPP - that took some guts. Nicks was a risk as well. He's also reportedly the guy who found Westbrook for the Eagles. NYG certainly aren't my favorite drafting team but they are also drafting for their specific needs. The biggest issue they have had is injuries.

JPP was projected as high as # 2 overall in that draft. He was a luxury pick they could afford to make with Osi and Tuck starting. The jury is still out on him. Nicks was projected as high as #9. An easy choice to make when you're picking in the high 20s. We don't need a riverboat GM, with a boom or bust philosophy. Bucs fans have seen plenty of recent gambles flop. Bowers, Clayborn, Price, Clayton, etc.
