Tom Brady might not be “done after all" with his playing in the NFL, according to @RichEisenShow who talked to people in Indy.
"Folks are saying keep an eye on Miami."
Ridiculous.
I mean honestly i dont believe it.
maybe last year walking away from a 13-4 record would have been a hard sell so i can believe the rumors of the fake retirement and still under contract -i.e. the effort to go somewhere else.
but he would have had no reason to retire this year. He wasnt under contract and it's likely both the bucs and brady would have been ok with a for lack of better word, divorce.
He quite frankly blew in terms of Brady standards last year so i hope he has the self awareness to realize that, which i think he did, or else he likely would have strongly considered the 49ers, a team that is built to win 10 games if you or I were the QB.
Dolphins as a second team maybe but the AFC is a gauntlet so it depends...is he trying to play as long as he can or is he trying to win superbowls. He'd be maybe the third best team in his division with Raiders.
i'd chalk this up as NFL off-season and they need something to talk about
Uhhh Dolphins and Raiders don't...
Nah... I'll let you figure it out
I could not care less. We're moving on.
He's not coming back. That's #1. But theoretically, if Brady were to come back he would not have the same drawing power when it comes to players wanting to come to play with him. The players are coming to play with Brady, not because he's a legend, but because they want to win a Superbowl. They know Brady isn't going to win any more Superbowls with Miami or anybody else. Nobody is going to say "Brady is in Miami. Sign me up!" Nope. Brady took the Bucs to an 8-9 record, and there's no reason to think he will be able to take a team to the promised land any more than Andy Daulton could.

Smh…
They say Brady is good if "the situation is right". If he has a great O-line, great receivers, a great running game. Lets throw in a great defense and special teams and some good backup Slates. Hell, if you have everything perfect, he can win a Superbowl for you! Well, so could most of the QBs in the league if you give them all that. And Dalton is cheaper. How about Cooper Rush? If I were any team in the NFL in 2023 (not 2022 or any previous year), and I had to choose between Andy Dalton and Tom Brady, I'd take Dalton. It wasn't Brady's fault that we were 8-9, but he didn't elevate the team above that. A great QB can elevate the team. A serviceable will go as far as the team takes him. Which one was Tom Brady last year? I don't buy that we would be 3-14 without him. That's B.S. We'd have been 8-9 with Andy Dalton at QB. And Brady's not going to get better. He's going to get worse because he'll be 46 next season. Nobody is going to win a Superbowl with a 46 year old. I'm trying to see who the oldest QB besides Brady is to have a good season, and I see that DeBerg and Testeverde had good seasons at around 35 or 36 years old. Rodgers was 39 last year. Warren Moon had a 7-7 season at age 41. Brady would be starting the season at 46. If he plays this year he'll be nothing but a circus side-show, and people will tune that out as soon as they realize he is headed for another 8-9 season with Miami or whoever. He won't win anything. I'm sure we all hope he doesn't try to come back.
Thank you Sir for that rational take.
I’m not buying it. By recent pictures, he’s not in “ football “ shape, meaning he’s lost weight. He wasn’t in football shape last year and I think that played a roll in his skittish play last year. Loss of confidence in his physical confidence hinders his mental play.
Tom is begging you to stop shaking your head. It is so uncomfortable to have someone's moving their head when it's that deep up their ass.and there's no reason to think he will be able to take a team to the promised land any more than Andy Daulton could.

Good to see you finally come up for air, Harry.
That being said, when Lefty said he was looking for a “job”, I think you may have misunderstood.

Lol.
You think this team would have won 4-5 games with Gabbert/Trask at the helm and a short bud candidate at OC.
There’s high.
There’s Willie Nelson on 4/20 high.
Then there’s this.
If I were any team in the NFL in 2023 (not 2022 or any previous year), and I had to choose between Andy Dalton and Tom Brady, I'd take Dalton.
You’d literally be the only one.

The mental gymnastics you had to go through to create that straw man must’ve been exhausting.
Stay on point little weak man. This thead is about " Stay away Brady" and has absolutely nothing to do with Lefty. Deflect much. When a person's mind has been poisoned by a cult--they have to be de-programmed. I know some people that can help your greatly dis-llusioned ass.Tom is begging you to stop shaking your head. It is so uncomfortable to have someone's moving their head when it's that deep up their ass.and there's no reason to think he will be able to take a team to the promised land any more than Andy Daulton could.

The Dalton over Brady stuff is just dumb and proof of bias because it’s so absurd. I am not sure what it is about football fans that always has them going over the top to make a point
if Tom Brady said tomorrow he was returning and the commissioner said the only QBs available are Brady or Dalton … every team … every team chooses Brady.
