See, that’s my concern. Folks are ready to jump on the OC as THE option but it doesn’t always work out at the next level, and sometimes that move causes a team to lose for a decade.
If you re-start the losing carousel, you become less attractive to OC/DC candidates and FA’s - unless they’re looking to retire a year before they actually do, soaking up salary cap on one more role of the dice.
Folks are ready to jump on the OC as THE option but it doesn’t always work out at the next level,
the folks who are ready to jump on the OC as an option for HC are ready because they believe a DC elevated to HC hasn't worked out
