We need studs, as many as we can draft to man the trenches on both sides...always best to DRAFT LINES, offense > defense in today NFL. Gotta hit on them. JL is...astoundingly good at that, the second round is his Oline haven.

But, based on articles and tweets, it's looking more and more like a OT convert is in play for our 1st round pick.

Listen if anyone can pull that off it’ll be JL. He’s been nailing the oline…Marpet I think was when it “clicked” for him. So based on the prospects…is their a nasty OT, maybe hopefully in a “deep” OT drafts..that’s the perfect storm to maybe pull that “trigger” again. The draft is complicated I think. You really have to be honest about your deficiencies. Right now, it’s clear that interior oline, cornerback, and middle LB or whatever D. Whites role was. Based on the value and assessed “internal grade” assigned by the scouts or even JL himself…you have to monitor what the best “BANG1🧨 for your Buck” at any of those Holes…take BPA in the first 3 rounds-but walk away with a “guard, cornerback, and linebacker…best graded” among those “holes”. Then just bpa. Always gotta have eyes peeled for possible bold trade ups, or “value” trade downs for specific “developmental projects” ie, Palmer, McCollum, Izen. JL killed the bottom half of last years draft…that’s where Real GM’s put in work. McCray was not a “talent evaluator” type GM. JL is a scout and developer at heart, JL has been picking “no names” and turning them into diamonds…but wait, there’s more. Since they are “eh’all- late game flyers picks from round 4 down”. If you have a specific players you want in the 4th round because you have a 2nd round grade…if he’s really a Marpet…you might be able to trade down and pick him up with our first pick in the second round and maybe add 2second round picks or something…try and manufacturer value and mitigate misses opportunities. Tough indeed.
