He's equally adept as a pass-rusher (+11.4) as he is against the run (+10.2), and he has the ability to move around the defensive line. He'll often kick inside to rush from defensive tackle on passing downs with about 20 percent of his 63 pressures having come from the interior. Hardy burst onto the scene last year with 13 sacks and a plus-13.6 pass-rush grade. His continued improvement will put him among the hottest edge-rush names for teams playing a 4-3.Possible fit: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have gotten terrible production from their defensive ends this season, and Hardy's skill set fits exactly what they're looking for on the strong side of their 4-3 scheme.

I would love it. I wanted him really bad during that draft. Knows how to rush the passer and can stop the run.
If we could land either Hardy or Jared Allen (I know he's older) I'd be a happy guy. I still think Allen at 31 would be an upgrade over what we have. Landing a big time free agent DE would allow us to focus on offense during the draft.

x2Getting Hardy, Johnson or Allen in FA would free us to take Watkins or trade down for Lee/Ebron/Tackle. Would make huge improvements
Agree with pretty much everyone here. Hardy would be my first choice...he is young, top flight production, and grabbing him weakens a division foe...we should be focusing in on him

Should have taken Hardy instead of the Gimpy Cheeseburger. Our team should have been so much better after the 2010 draft it's ridiculous. In hindsight the Mike Williams pick was a good nab. McCoy fell into their laps and other than Grimm in the 7th round got nothing out of that draft.I actually got up and walked out after they picked Cheeseburger and Benn..........what a colossal failure that was.

Wasn't even that injury prone. Had a broken leg one year I believe, and played through a wrist injury his senior year. No way he should have dropped as much as he did. I was very upset the Bucs didn't take him. I back Dom, but the 2010 draft has so many missed opportunities.I don't see Carolina letting him get away. After Cam, he's be their best player right now.
