We are apparently interested in this guy. I was listening to a draftcountdown podcast about small school sleepers and he was one of the guests. He said that one of the teams who was very interested in him was Tampa Bay. Given his size, we are apparently trying to get bigger on the defensive line.

Here is a short description of what I found:

These games are all about opportunities and Grover Stewart took advantage of his. He blew up a play for a five-yard sack when a protection failure left him unblocked. Those are things that stick out to scouts. It’s not just about making plays happen, it’s about if the player can take advantage of someone else’s mistake. He also notched another half sack that was pure strength and effort.

At 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds, Stewart is a monster in size and seems to have a very good motor and movement skills for such a big man. He has similar size to Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones. Stewart was also very productive during his career at Albany State and built on that with a solid performance at the collegiate bowl. Just goes to show that it really doesn’t matter where you play as long as you can put it together during the evaluation process.
