I would trade him for a 2nd round pick. Gotta clean up all Dominik's messes. We could use a Carlos Hyde type runner. He reminds me a bit of Gore.
Too many midgets and not enough men in our RB stable at the moment. Wilder could be an Alstott type player but he has Le Garrett Blount disease. He needs to lower his pad level. He runs too upright and tries to carry the pile. Two things that are highly probable are that he will be injured and he will get the ball stripped. Not a good look. If he lowers the pad level he could be scary. I still think he is a mid to late rounder if he runs a respectable 40.

Based on your premise that Doug Martin is overrated and that James Wilder Jr has a much high upside, why would the Giants give up multiple picks to the Bucs for Martin when they can use 1 pick for Wilder and achieve the same thing. If your thought is that they are not guaranteed to get Wilder in the draft, that same would apply to the Bucs drafting him as the replacement for Martin.
Wilder was more of an example. To me Doug is expendable but for only a couple premium picks. Hey I was screaming at the tv for the bucs to draft Peterson. but what do I know. There's a few other backs in the draft that I think can be a good fit.

But that still doesn't answer the question of why if there are multiple players in the draft that are as good or have a higher upside, would the Giants give up multiple picks for Martin? If you were their GM, would you?
