My father told me before the College National Championship game that a friend of his thought Alabama can beat the worse teams in the NFL. I told him "no way." I explained to him that, in general, most draftee players don't get up to full speed till their second season when they can have a full NFL off-season. Generally, we don't know who the busts are till after their second season. Yes, there's a few draftees that make their mark; but, in general, they don't come of age till their first full off-season training program.
Having a NFL team play any college team is like having a college team play a high school team. Maybe not that bad, but close enough.
Still, wouldn't it be cool to have the National champtionship team play the worst team of a given NFL season?
