Ask the NFL, not the HC. The NFL ruled this year that we couldn't use the throw backs this year as it required the players to wear a different helmet and different helmets were not allowed. One helmet to be worn all year, or something like that.

It's easier if your throwback is the same color as your normal helmet. Much easier to remove and change the decal then repaint the helmets.

No they didn't. Only the teams who could easily modify their helmets without painting them. For instance, the Packers just wore a blank yellow helmet with their throwback while they usually wear brown ones.Its not a conspiracy.
