My buddy and I were talking about the wide receiver FA class and he mentioned Fitz's name. I didn't see him on the FA list and I mentioned "I think he said he was retiring after this year?" He replied he didn't think he would, he just wants out of AZ to have a chance to compete with a contender.
My thought is, would we have a shot to grab him along side Evans for a couple years? Draft a legit #2 that has speed but use the draft guy in a 4 wide set this year to stretch the opposing defense?
I also saw a couple tight ends to go with brate too. Vernon Davis and Jacob Tamme
Here is how my starting offense would look receiving wise for 17.
Mike Evans, Larry Fitzgerald, DRAFT PICK, Adam Humphries, Cameron Brate..... Vernon Davis/Tamme
That could be a deadly group with plugs on oline to help Jameis.
Also, getting a legit running threat with that above line up should be deadly I think....Wooooo man
