DE - If Suh is not resigned perhaps Derek Wolfe will come cheaper. I would look to take someone in the mid rounds as well.
FS - Glaring hole. Not counting on Justin Evans. Grant Delpit likely won't make it to us in round 2, and Ashtyn Davis out of Cal may not be a day one starter. I don't see much else in the draft. Our best option may be a trade for Anthony Harris, although he won't come cheap.
RT - Haeg will be given the opportunity to start at RT, but we still need to invest in that position and provide competition. If one of the top 4 tackles make it to 14 it should be an easy decision for the front office. However, it's not likely we will land one without a trade up. I like some 2nd/3rd round guys like Saddiq Charles from LSU and Ben Bartch out of St John's. The smart move may be a slight trade up to grab the last blue chip OT.
WR3 - As of now, we have very little talent behind Evans and Godwin. Miller showed flashes but he and Watson are unproven. I have a feeling we will sign AB if the NFL clears him, given his Brady ties and his current public comments about wanting to play here. If this doesn't happen, I expect Perriman to return as plan B, and a WR likely taken somewhere in the mid-late rounds.
DT - Having lost Beau Allen, finding a capable DT behind Vea and Nunez Rochez is a need. This could likely still be done cheap in free agency, or with a later pick in the draft.
OLB - The loss of Carl Nassib shouldn't be overlooked. Anthony Miller will be expected to make an impact in year 2, and I think the coached are high on him. Still, another edge rusher is needed for depth. I wouldn't be opposed to spending a premium pick on this position, as we will need a replacement for JPP in the next couple years.
RB - I have plenty of faith in Ronald Jones, and I think the coaching staff does too. However, he needs a partner in crime. There are plenty of RBs in the draft this year, and a 3rd rounder could be in play to shore up this need.
Predictions:
AB signs a 1 year deal for 8m.
FS Anthony Harris and a 4th acquired for our 2nd.
*Sadly, we don't have enough to bring back Suh, so we sign Derek Wolfe to keep the run defense strong.
