Honeymoon Period

Most people on this board who thought Lovie would return next year were also pretty realistic that if Lovie did not have winning record or make the playoffs next year, that he was gone. Since we now will have a new coach, do we lower our expectations for next season to allow a honeymoon period and a year of new system implementation like most new coaches?? Or do our expectations remain the same? Seems to me our expectations would have been expected to be higher with Lovie than a new Coach. Just saying.
