Why is no one talking about a linebacker in the first round (or one in the first 3 rounds)? We dont even have a starter at the Sam side, do we? Is there another position on either side of the ball that we dont have a clear cut starter?
Now I know we dont use that Sam all the time and they come out often on nickel packages, but god forbid what happens if Kwon or Lavonte get injured. We are horribly thin. What about a linebacker with some versatility that has enough size in their pants to play the run, but has some coverage skills.
A guy like Haason Reddick is fast as hell, can rush the passer, and also used to play safety and can cover.
For the nerds (er..I mean smart guys) who came in last year on nickel? was it always a DB? Doesnt a linebacker add a different dimension on nickel on a possible blitz package?....
