Outside of some stray, minor moves and contract massaging, we're pretty much done here.
Things I'm pleased with the 2020 offseason:
1) Having the humility to admit that it wasn't coaching/more time that was the problem with Jameis and letting him walk.
2) Finding a way to get Brady into the fold for 2 seasons. Even at this stage of his career, Brady is a 3-4 win better player than Jameis.
3) Franchising Shaq with an extension hopefully in the works.
4) I don't love JPP's contract overall (due to that big 2nd year guarantee), but his 2020 number is right where it should be and he's a good (not great) player and great locker-room guy so bringing him back for that 2020 cap number is very good.
5) 1st round win.
6) 2nd round win.
7) 5th round win.
8) Not wasting a pick this year on a developmental QB that will sit for 2 years.
9) Seeing Cappa back working with great OL technique/concepts/conditioning regimes in the offseason again (LeCharles Bentley's outfit). This isn't talked about enough, but I feel like this is likely a big reason why the whole "young OL aren't ready to play" myth is being collapsed (as evidenced by the last 3-4 years of immediate, producing rookie/2nd year starters).
Things I'm conflicted about/not exactly pleased with the 2020 offseason:
10) Gronk's 10 M + 4th round pick + Suh's 8 M
vs
D.J. Reader at 13.5 M (long term contract for a young, tech-versatile DT who has been great in Pass Rush and Run Game) + 4.5 M for OL depth/competition + 4th round pick to select another player or a big chip to move around in the draft.
I'll take the latter all day long.
11) Edge depth issue (particularly young prospects) and the ability to spend marginal assets (a 6th and maybe a 7th) to move up in the 3rd round and snag Zack Baun who NO moved up to snipe right before us. The fact that we didn't make that move AND our divisional rival moved right up before us and did is extra sting.
12) Not having the cash available to preemptively extend Godwin (which will complicate things).

On the whole, net very pleased.
You guys?
